Rick @ Velasquez mufflers & brakes Harvey il Rick, stated he was the manager. On 08/16/2016, after leaving my place of employment near by the Velasquez mufflers & brakes shop, I encounter a problem with my vehicle that lead me to pull over and see that there was a gas leak. I was able to drive it to their location before the problem got worse. I felt really confident and relieve that the problem would be resolved and I wouldn't have to loose any days from work because I work in the area, so it was convenient for me.  so I thought  Harvey Illinois

 On 08/16/2016, after leaving my place of employment near by the Velasquez mufflers & brakes shop, I encounter a problem with my vehicle that lead me to pull over and see that there was a gas leak. I was able to drive it to their location before the problem got worse. I felt really confident and relieve that the problem would be resolved and I wouldn't have to loose any days from work because I work in the area, so it was convenient for me.(so I thought) Well the next day after work I picked up my vehicle and paid the amount due of 400.00 for a new fuel pump, which they stated that was the problem. However, after driving away I noticed my vehicle didn't feel right. I called them right away and spoke to a young lady there, who said to bring it back. I was far away and told her I would bring it back the next day in the morning. I returned back on 8/18/16, hoping they can resolve the problem. I explained to the manager Rick what was going on with the vehicle , not having his full attention like a customer should have, I felt so discourage and had me feeling very unhappy.

So after the staff analyzed my vehicle, it comes back that the cause of my flashing check engine and shaking, I would need a new part, which meant another cost. I explained to Rick that my vehicle didn't feel that bad even with the gas leak when I brought it in on the 17th, my car felt perfectly fine before the gas leak that day. How does any mechanic allow a vehicle to leave in such conditions, which I believe it's the managers job to review what his staff has just fixed, which I know for a fact he didn't. Not to mention that feeling so upset about my vehicle feeling this bad, he told me that I could go and purchase the part somewhere and they would put it on, are you kidding me, I just had work done for something else and now your telling me it needs something else and that's all you could do for me...WOW. So unprofessional and inconsiderate of customers!!!!! Also, after i asked him to please go and turn on my vehicle so that he can see for himself how bad it feels, he never went, instead he asked the guy that worked on my vehicle "did he notice how it felt when he moved it to the parking lot" and he said yes he notices it to shake, within seconds after being questioned by Rick as to why he didn't say anything about it, he changed his whole response to say that no he meant it felt like that the day I brought it in, lied through his teeth, he was not the one who even drove it into the garage that day...WOW!!! LIERS, how can they treat customers that way. Least to say I had nothing else to say, loosing a day of work to go take my vehicle to another auto repair, I will never allow them to touch my vehicle again. My business will definitely go elsewhere, I encourage other customers to go somewhere else where they will be treating with RESPECT,DIGNITY and with the Truth!!!!
