 I found Mr. Lamson in the professional services section of the newspaper. I called him for an estimate to finish a job in my kitchen. My husband had started putting wainscot in our kitchen and ran into some problems so we wanted a professional to finish it Mr.Lamson showed up promptly for the estimated He said he would do the job for $150. We agreed and he came on a saturday to do the work. He came and worked on the job for several hours. My husband bought his lunch and he resumed working until he ran out of the materials. My husband and I both spoke with him and asked if he would return to finish if we ordered more wainscot. We also told him that we had several projects we might hire him for in the future. He said he would gladly return when the materials arrived. We put our faith and trust in him and my husband went ahead and paid him, and even paid him $50 more than Mr. Lamson asked for. (which in hindsight, we should not have paid him anything until the job was complete). I called him when I ordered the material and let him know it would take a few weeks. He did not respond. We got the wainscot in and my husband and I both have called him numerous times leaving messages over nearly 2 weeks and he will not respond. Obviously he is not going to finish the job as promised, but won't even man up and call and tell us that he won't finish the job and took our money and more than he asked for initially. Now we most likely won't find anyone to finish the job for us because there isn't much left and no one will want to do it. I would not recommend him to anyone due to his lack of character in doing the right thing and treating his customers the way they should be treated.
