On July 1, 2008, I called the RideNow Powersports of Chandler-Arizona and I asked if they had Scooters in stock and the person on the phone transfered me to Steve Miles the salesman taking care of that department at the time.

I asked Steve if they had Scooter Suzuki 400cc in stock and he said "NO." Steve proceeded to say that "we only have "650cc Suzuki Scooter in stock." I told Steve that I was serious about buying a Scooter and If I thought I could handled the 650cc, could I test drive it before I signed ant papers and he said sure.

However, when I got to the store they had two Suzuki 650cc and a Honda 600cc and neither one of them could be taken for a ride because the scooters did not have a battery and had not been prep and they call it.

I asked Steve in person, can you have the Scooter prep while you are checking if I qualify or not before I sign any document and he said "NO." "You will have to sign and acceptance purchase bill first before you can take it for a ride because if drop the bike you bought it."

No, I was not happy, but I decided to play his game and see how far he was willing to take.

Steve tried to get me to sign a paper that said that I agreed to pay RideNow Powersport $99 dollars for searching for my credit check. I denied to sign that paper. Steve came back with a credit card application that Suzuki is offering to all prospect buyers, which they said provided buyer with a lower interest rate for the first two years and over 17 percent thereafter.

I specifically asked them to give an estimate on the for two years.

Steve's business manager (Matthew Cochran) came back with additional charges that I had not agreed to pay (e.g., $1,000.00, 498+, 450+, and an additional 480+ dollars) on top of the sticker price.

I said. "What is this $1,000.00 here for." Matthew said, "That is because we can, we have the market cornered, we have the only Scooter around town, we bought everyone's else Scooters because we can!" I looked at my friend sitting across from and said, "OH." I continued to question about the other charges and he gave his version of why those charges were there. No, I did not like the way both salesman and manager were trying to CON me right in front of my friend.

I asked them if I could have a minute along with my friend and the manager said, "sure." I went outside with my friend and asked her what she thought about the way these people were handling the sale and she said "Not good." I asked her about the additional charges and she said "you do not have to pay that, go else where."

I went back inside and told both Steve and Matthew, "no thanks." Matthew right away asked "if I dropped the extra $1000.00 would buy the Scooter." I said, "No thanks." At that point, I knew that I was dealing with dishonest individuals!!! The reason been is that I did not agreed with many of the extra chargers and the way they handled the case from the beginning.

The only charge that I did not dispute was the taxes.

This report is here to help other buyers like me to be aware of individuals as such and not to buy anything under pressure no matter what their needs are!

Those buyers that would like to buy a Scooter can check the sellers through this site, in addition to ask the dealer, "what are the charges that you have to add to the sticker price in order for me to drive the Scooter out of your store today." Write it down and keep shopping over the phone until you are able to find someone who is honest enough and go to their store proceed with caution!
