I ordered Scopes from riflescopes.webyshops.com, they are big scammer. What and how they did?

1. Email you the order had been fulfilled and ready for ship out.

2. Email me, We have received your order.  Thank you very much for your business!

Our billing department pointed out that your order requires an additional verification before released. This process is designed to protect you, the customer from credit card fraud.

In order to process your order, we will need you to supply the following information:1) Email us a phone number of the credit card issuing bank (we will call them to verify it. 2) Email or Fax us a scanned picture of the most recent credit card statement that shows your name and your billing and shipping address for the order Once all the information is received and verified we will process your order. If we do not receive all this information in 7 days from the date that we send out this email, we will automatically cancel your order. They try to have the COPY of the Credit Card Statement, that's big NO NO, why? (remember don't let anyone to have a copy of your Credit Card Statement because that will show your Credit Financial Activity Log) When I call riflescopes.webyshops.com person names' "Alex Greg" he is one of the Owner, he said if I can't send a copy of Credit Card Statement, then ask me to send Copy of Utilities Bill, he said because billing department want to do verification. (that is BS, he is one of the owner)  The shipping address I put down is my billing address as will. there are no need to have the copy of Credit Card Statement or Utilities Bill. I was refused all his request then he said he will cancell the order, I told him that's okay. After that I received an email said " You Have Purchased A Backordered Item" WOW WOW.. this is big scammer... selling item that is NOT IN STOCK, and ask for the copy of Credit Financial Information. (Before I call riflescopes.webyshops.com AKA Webyshops.com | Weby Corp "Alex Greg" said item was next to him and ready for ship, but he must need have the copy of Credit Card Statement or Utilities Bill for verification).

You only can release Financial information and/or Utilities bill to the BANK when you are buying the house/real estate or doing the bank loan, good luck all. Be safe when you ordering item online!

Proper Fraud Prevention Procedures Followed

AUTHOR: M. Bradford - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 12, 2012

This customer placed an order with a value of $1628.50 through our online web store December 3, 2012. On December 4, 2012 the customer called from an anonymous number to check the status of this order.  At that time the order was released to ship.  However, during the billing process the order was stopped because it was determined that further verification needed to be performed because of 1) the order amount and 2) the name the order was placed in was only initials, not a full name.

The customer was sent our standard credit card verification email asking that he provide needed information so that we could contact the credit card issuer to verify his information. Our fraud prevention procedures are in line with those recommended for businesses by the banking industry as well as that of the National Federation of Independent Business (http://www.nfib.com/business-resources/business-resources-item?cmsid=29075).

Upon receipt of the email, the customer called in to register a complaint because he had received the confirmation email and a shipping email.  When the customer did not want to verify the credit card information, we offered to refund the credit card payment and send a PayPal Payment Request. The customers declined this offer.

At this point, we informed the customer that since we were unable to verify the credit card, we would be unable to complete his order.  (Please see Order Processing section in our Terms of Use - http://www.riflescopes.webyshops.com/Terms-of-Use.)  His credit card was immediately refunded.

Additionally, in our attempts to verify the customer, we checked the phone number and address listed by the customer at the time he placed the order.  The address was listed as a residential address in one California city while the phone number was listed to a business in another city.  We further researched the business and found the names of the business owners did not align with the initials used on the order.

Webyshops strives hard to meet all of our customers needs this includes protection against credit card fraud.  By being consistent in the application of our fraud prevention guidelines, we feel we save the card owner as well as ourselves from fraudulent purchases.

Please feel free to further verify our commitment to providing the best possible customer service at the following websites.
