Watch out for Rigid Tools LSA (Lifetime Service Warrenty)...I have been burned now 4x times when buying tools. I bought a Rigid Combo Kit some years ago. Registered it online and also sent the registration card. Over the years the tool disappeared off my account. Then I bought an Rigid Jigsaw, registered for LSA online, sent in the card, and after a 3 years the LSA changed to standard 3 year warranty expired. My orbital sander just vanished, My belt sander vanished and there is nothing they can do about it. I have all the original receipts proving I bought them. But that is of no use.
Their explanation is I moved and may have been on an old address. LOL...what the *#@^, who cares if I move 1 1/2 miles from my old home, it is still me. And I have proof I bought them with the receipts.
So be weary, you will over time see your records of warrenties disappear. And then what?

Update on Replacement on LSA

Well even though they sent a smaller version and not the same quality tool bought, today found out could not register with Rigid under Lifetime Service Warranty because Rigid said they had to send me the replacement directly to me. Apparently the one I replaced under the (LSA) was replaced with one sitting around at the repair facility or Home Depot Returns warehouse. So basically my LSA is no longer unless I return to Home Depot and demand they have Rigid replace it, which they said they will if Home Depot and Return Center will contact them and they will send me a new one still eligible with the LSA. Beware!
