RJM Acquisitions Funding They keep sending me bills from Fingerhut from when I was a teen. I am 42 now. Syosset New York
*UPDATE Employee: RJM Aquisitions-NOT Fingerhut
Every month I am sent these bills stating that I have to pay $197.68 ASAP so that they won't report it to the credit bureau. I have been waiting to see what they would do and it has been over 8 years and they send the same amount every time.

#1 UPDATE Employee
RJM Aquisitions-NOT Fingerhut
AUTHOR: Rangebird - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, February 20, 2009
As reported before on this site, Fingerhut is no longer owned by the company that was in business 20 years ago. In 2002 Fingerhut closed it's doors for many months, and basically went out of business. When the old company went out of business, this company kept the name, and few of the assets. All of the former Fingerhut accounts were sold to a company called CompuCredit for collection purposes. If customers wanted credit with the current Fingerhut, they would have needed to apply for a Fingerhut/CIT Bank credit account.
RJM aquisitions is a collections agency that is collecting on very old accounts, and unfortunately, Fingerhut has NO way of controlling what they do, nor does Fingerhut have ANY..and I repeat...ANY of the former Fingerhut accounts information. The best resolution to stopping the threatening letters is to go to your local Credit Bureau and file a formal complaint. New York as a specific set of laws that pertain to collection of debts, and under those laws you should be able to get this issue resolved. Please do not call Fingerhut about this matter, because our reps and specialists are unable to assist you. This is an issue that needs to be resolved either with RJM Aquisitions, your local Credit Bureau, or the State of New York Banking administration.
