RJM Acquisitions, LLC, supposedly purchased a debt of $55.15 from Quality Paperback Book Club, claiming that I had ordered books from them in 2009. I have NEVER purchased items from this company and I will NOT be blackmailed into paying this amount simply to have this fictitious debt removed from my credit report. This amounts to nothing less than extortion, and I refuse to let them get away with this.
I have reported this company to the Attorney General's Office, Consumer Affairs Division, in both the States of Florida and New York. Should this matter not be rectified immediately, I will have no hesitation to file suit against them in Small Claims Court, Seminole County, Florida. I assure you, they will pay a far greater amount in punitive damages than the $55.15 they were initially trying to extort from me.
