Keith Peirson Toyota ran a newspaper add stating $5000.00 paid while training in car sales. Julie Williams conducted the interviews at the dealership.
107 applicants were seen . #6 applicants made it to training. On opening day we were told that they needed all 36 people for jobs. There was a fee of 698.00 that would be refunded by KPT.

The first round of interviews with the Sales managers of KPT on 14 people were selected and the rest of us were suppose to use the web site on Monday to set up interviews with other dealerships. There were no other interviews. KPT called back as people dropped put of the so called training and we were to be paid $350 a week while we were in product knowledge training.( Reading car brochures and going out to the lot without
any supervision to look at the car.) At the end of the week (84 hrs-9am-9pm
seven days) we received our check for 350.00.

Also during this training we spent all day on the telephone trying to make bait and switch phone calls trying to get customer with used cars to come to the dealership to sell their car to KPT. Of coarse they would have to buy a new car to replace the one that they were supposedly selling.

They pay schedule that they gave us for the next ninety days was just as rediculous. No commissions just bonuses KPT kept all of the commissions.

as soon as you woke up tosee what was happening and did not show up for work A representative of Williams and Assoc. calls demanding their money and threatens to turn you over to a collection agency and ruin your credit
Just another big scam!!!!!

although you do have to pay money for training its quality training from people that have been there...their main objective for you is to succeed....the training that they offer is phenominal...the good thing is keith pierson will personally write you a check for half after 90days and then again for the remaining after 180 days...so if you follow the system and do what the trainers tell you to you will be successful...i have never sold cars before and within three days of being on the floor i have sold three cars...so the training is right...you pay 700 but you make one car sale and guess what it pays itself....plus if you dont make it wiliiams and associates will get you an interview with someone else....so what the big deal

How much effort did you put into this job

Looks like a numbers game. They knew that out of x amount of people that a few would not be able to get a job as indicated in your post. Let's see -- out of 107 applicants 36 were able to go on to the next stage of interviewing with sales managers out of that 14 landed jobs right away. Some of them did not have the incentive to learn and try to sell cars.

How much time was spent on the phone compared to going out to the lot and looking over cars??? 350 a week for 84 hours breaks down to $4.16 an hour. That is unless you take out 7 hours for lunch which pushes it up to $4.54 an hour (sounds like you can at least try to go to wage and hour for more money, but its been awhile since I've done that so what is the current training wage???)

The phone calls are called "cold calling" you probably contacted former customers to see if they were interested in a newer model. That's not called "bait and switch" though.

Did you just work the one week??? What about the 2nd week did you try to sell any cars??

KPT will only probably pay off your training if you actually stick around and try to sell cars not give up after a week. But then again that was probably in the fine print you didn't read.
