This is about the closest thing to a scam as far as I can tell. Road Runner Auto Sales and Harold Van d**e provided a false vehicle service report. They included a page from a similar vehicle with a different license plate and VIN number to make the one they were selling look better. Also on another service report it was supposed to have 4 pages but they took out the last two pages and put to credit card receipts in place of the actual diagnostic so it would look like there were four pages as part of it but it was on those pages that the problems existed. They also blocked the coolant reservoir with RTV silicone and put fresh coolant to disguise a transmission fluid and oil contamination problem. Road Runner Auto Sales is a scam!

I had a roughly similar experience to that described. Jose Villegas tried to show me a faudulent carfax report that came from another vehicle and was altered and this was exposed when he forgot to change the vin number on a subsequent page. Apparently, Road Runner Auto Sales has gone out of business. I had heard the Jose Joe Villegas was investigated by the police. He tried to pass of the same fraudulent documents to the police but he recanted, confessed and was audio/video recorded. Road Runner Auto Sales is nothing but a scam!

The report in this original complaint is absolutely and completely true and Jose "Joe" Villegas confessed to it all and was audio/video recorded. He only wrote the owner rebuttal to save business but this company went out of business shortly thereafter. Jose "Joe" Villegas is a multiple convicted felon of which I have NCIC records to back it up. He kept thinking he could sell any vehicle to somebody else. Too bad he ran out of somebody elses by the time I arrested him. Road Runner Auto Sales is/was nothing but a scam . . . .
