I am just to through and I don't know where to turn. My payments are due on the 21st of the month. This past year I have had some major financial set backs and I have been running about 10 to 15 days late. Well, I get a call on 9/29, regarding my September payment. I explain to the Customer Service Rep, that I would not be able to make my payment until the 2nd of October. She said, well I can set up two payments, one for September (late) and the next payment (October, not due yet). I said, I don't want to set up two payments, I just want to set up this payment. She said, well I can set up the second payment for October 31st. If I have a problem, I can call back and cancel it. I said fine. I set up two payments. To make a long story short, I called to cancel the payment and I was told that I couldn't. I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was given a team lead, then finally a supervisor. I explained to her, instead of the 31st, I would like the schedule the payment for the 4th. She said she can not schedule a payment for me, and the reposestion process will start after the 10th day and I need to call back and speak to another department, before making my payment. I said, why would you repo my vehicle when, at that time, I would be 14 days late. I said, I have never been 30 days late, its not on my credit for being late, so why would you repo my car. She said that I need to make a payment by the 31st. It is out of her hands. I call back to speak to the "repo" department to understand the process, and I was told I can not speak to them, until my car is going to be reposesed. I said, when does that processe begin, she said, it can begin, one day after missing your payment, I said, well right now I am three days late, did the process begin. She said no. I said, what is going to happen when I call back and make my payment on the 4th. She said, after that, the collection process will continue. I said, what collection prcoess? At that time, I will not be behind in my payments.

She didn't have an answer. I said, okay. I don't know what to do. I have had this loan for almost three years. The car is not worth the balance of the loan, so why would they repo my car when they are getting a payment every month? I said to the women. On Nov. 18, I will be making my 21st payment, and I will be ahead. She wouldn't comment.. What should I do? Are they really going to repo my vehicle for being 14 days late? I am going to leave it in God's hands. I will make my payment on the 4th. I just never heard of a finance company not accpeting a payment that is 14 days late. I have heard of people being 60 days late and then there vehicle is repo'd . I am not even 30 days and they are out to get me. Good luck to anyone who has a loan with them. Never again !

Roadloans/Triad Huge Ripoff

I too am going thru a problem with Roadloans except that THEY are deliquent in paying the dealer of whom I purchased (or am attempting) to purchase a vehicle, I believe based on all the dealings I have had with them that #1 make your payment on the day you have specified, if you are able send it overnite, that will show them some dedication on your part, and it is how they have always dealt with me, make a notation on the check that it is for Payment due for _______and cashing of the ck constitutes acceptance of payment for the month of October. and communicate with them, try to find a clear consice person to deal with and ask them to clarify for you exactly where you stand what your balance is ect...it is my experience that you can recieve a different "story" from each and every person you speak with , so if possible try to connect with just one person and get their direct extension, I did that and was able to get phone number and email address for one specific helpful person named Andrea Sherrod and each time I correspond I phone and email the same info so that I have a written account of all transactions with them, sad that all these steps have to be taken for a car loan, but that is what they are hoping is that you will not fight for your rights and you will just accept what they say as face value and pay their price, legal or not, sorry to ramble but I did want to offer you a bit of encouragement, but I do not want to give you false hope, remember to be proactive, that is their worst nightmare, a consumer that actually goes out of their way to protect themselves, dont assume anything and ask for any "promises" in writing, be insistant, if they state that you may make a payment on such a date then there is no reason that they can not send you written confirmation of that , unless they do not intend to honor their statement. Anyway I cant stress enough to be your own advocate, it seems that it would be more costly at this point to repo your car so dont waste time worring about that, just spend your time documenting and following up on your behalf so that you are an informed consumer, GOOD LUCK
Nikki
