Roadside America ihsadvantage.com, roadsideamerica.com booked hotel room on line, the cost was $63, upon invoicing after my stay they charged $90, actual cost I could have booked for at hotel was $57 with tax. Springfield, Missouri

Imagine my surprise when I received my invoice for a stay at a Super 8 Motel, expecting a bill for $57 and saw it was for $90.... their price was originally stated on the web page at $63, which is still $12 more than you can get walking in.   I have booked 100's of rooms on line and never had an issue with a score of other companies.......all were reputable and provided excellent service..I thought it was a little strange that when I checked out the desk clerk told me I was all "fixed up" - my "booking company would be invoicing me"  Well they certainly did!  I had to email them for the invoice in order to fill out my expense account; called my credit card company and they took the additional charges off.  I did pay the $63 which is what was on their web page, which also hoses me off bit time.....spent $6 extra dollars for my trust that all on line booking companies are fair.  DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY......

We actually are surprised that this guest claims not to have known the price of the room that they reserved using our partner's service. We take great care to display in several places under bold headings the exact amount that will be charged in the case of pre-paid reservations. The only difference that occurs between pages is the addition of taxes and fees at the check out process. This is not only honest, but also very common. Any retail site that you purchase from online will display a product's price without adding in taxes and shipping/fees until the check out page.

We even take an extra step to make sure that all users are fully aware of all prices, cancel policies, etc. by requiring that they check a box to indicate that they have read and agree to all policies. That being said, had this guest contacted our customer service department we would have been happy to explain this to them. We welcome any user to explore our site for the deception this guest claims to have experienced. We are confident that their lack of care in reading and paying attention to clearly posted totals will be immediately apparent.
