ROBERT & SUSAN IRWIN, CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE AND FAMILY COUNSELORS AND PUBLISHERS sent me an invitation to purchase a set of books worth $199 for $37. There was even a picture of the set in the ad. It was called "The Keys To Better Sex In Christian Marriage Collection".
I purchased the books and received an email with a link to a site that had a file I was supposed to download. The download was only available for 48 hours. I downloaded the file and could not open it. It had an extension neither I nor my computer could recognize and I could not find any helpful information by researching the web for the file extension and trying to find a program that could open it. I was expecting a set of BOOKS, not a computer file. Nowhere in the ad did it mention that I was ordering an "e-book" (I assume that's what it was).
I have tried numerous times to email and call the Irwins and could never get a response or a live person on the phone. Ultimately, I got Paypal to refund my $37, but they said they would not address the issue with nor get the money from the seller. They were only refunding my money because I have been a longtime customer of Paypal and it was for customer relations' sake. They even said they were making an exception - they usually only honor a guarantee when the purchase is made on eBay.
Although I did get my money back, I was very disappointed to not get what I ordered or be able to contact the seller. I think it's all a big scam. You buy something, but you get something else totally different that you can't even use. Then when you need help, they ignore you. DON'T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE - THEY SOUND LIKE THEY WANT TO HELP PEOPLE AND HAVE INTEGRITY, BUT THIS IS WHAT THEY DID TO ME. DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU.

Advertized as Christian, but a recent video they are streaming and selling the link to claiming to be a guide on Female Ejaculation is no more than a Porn star with tatoos, belly button ring, complete with multiple F-bombs. It is not Christ-honoring and they should not be selling this as such. Neither should they be selling links to other "Sex expert" videos that are found for free on you-tube.

I wonder if the person that wrote this tried to work this out with the Irwins. I have no connection to them except that I am a consumer of thier products. I have bought a book from them in the past about 2 years later he offered another book that cost more money to get but when I asked for it he sent it to me free. I just dont see this complaint as representative of the Irwins. There must have been a miscommunication (or none at all) about this issue.
By the way I believe their products are great!

Update 4/20/10: I received an email from Robert & Susan Irwin Publishing with a link to the ebooks and audio files that I purchased. I downloaded the links and they were fine. Although I did not get the books and CDs I originally expected, the Company did come through and provide an acceptable resolution to my problem. And, although the form of the product is not as expected, the materials are still well worth the cost.
I took a while, but Robert & Susan Irwin have redeemed themselves and I am a satisfied customer.
