My credit report is showing that Robert E. Douglas (of Robert E. Douglas Haircutting) did not pay/will not pay for a leased credit card machine for his business. The machine was leased in 2003 through Lease Finance LLC. He did not have a credit card at the time, so he asked if he could use mine to lease this machine for HIS business. At this time in 2003, we were married. We divorced in 2005.
I received bills from this leasing company in Robert's name only for some time thereafter. Finally the bills stopped coming and I assumed he had paid his bill. A recent search of my credit revealed he never paid the bill!
I feel he is 100% responsible since it is his business and I am not associated with him or his business in any way.
I would like this debt to be resolved and my credit report cleared of this debt.The account number is 1055486XXXX. I do not know what the last four digits to this account are. The amount is over $1000!!
Please repo this machine if he refuses to pay his bill! Have him pay for his stuff in his own name and not ruin my credit further.
