In my experience, Robert Granite (prefers to be called Bob) will abuse your trust, take your money, and repeatedly lie to your face. If you're one of the smart ones who are doing research *before* doing business with him, then you're doing better than me.  Here's the facts that can save you.  I only wish they could have saved me.

Robert Granite (AKA Bob Granite) owes over $150,000 to lawsuits.  Robert Granite has lost dozens of small claims suits, and he lost two suits for over $100,000 each.  All of these can be found in the California court records.  His name seemed to be well known to several Long Beach, CA lawyers.  A search turned up only bank accounts with negative accounts and my being told that he probably can no longer open a bank account in California.  Not someone you want to buy from or loan money to.

Robert Granite partners with Xiaoli Chou (AKA Lily) to pull off his scams.  Around late 2011, Xiaoli Chou (AKA Lily) was terminated from her position as a building manager in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA.  I was told off the record that she was fired for facillating a scam Robert Granite was running at the property; he con'ed the building's residents out of thousands of dollars.  Xiaoli provided Robert with access to residents by allowing him to pose as another building manager.  It was reported that she also collected money for him.

The site, galleryatthecastlegreen.com, is owned and operated by Xiaoli Chou and Robert Granite.  They sell the same antiques on Pandahi; www.pandahi.com/1007741190.html.  Xiaoli Chou also owns the business AAA Booksellers (sole proprietorship DBA AAA Booksellers).  Robert Granite was involved with the businesses Royal Dragon Emporium and West Coast Dragon Trading Corporation.

I ordered some pricey items because I thought I was protected from fraud.  They happily took my money, but I never got what I paid for.  I dealt directly with Robert Granite, and he had an excuse for everything.  In my experience, he has no problem with lying to your face and will let the transaction drag on long after it's obvious he's scammed you.  At one time I did recieve a refund check which of course bounced.

To prevent confusion with others of the same name, this Robert Michael Granite is a long time resident of Southern California (Long Beach, Anahiem, Northridge).
