This is to report the problems that I have had with Robert Nava, who is an internet marketer that also sells consulting/coaching offers.

Robert has got a great story of turning his life around, after very troubled and turbulent childhood / teenage years. His story of how he succeeded after years of prison is really inspiring and he does not hide it, in fact, he is very open about it.

Robert, along with other business partenrs, had just released an info product (Ecom Experts Academy), and, after the launch, they started offering different upsells, coaching programs, and such.

I first found out about his coaching, after I read this post:

https://www.facebook.com/robertvnava/posts/10207688779085967

Since I was booked to go to their live event and wanted to meet like-minded entrepreneurs, and would also have the opportunity to meet the coach in person, this looked like a very good deal in my mind - get to meet the guy, bond and have an even better opportunity of making the coaching work.

I reached out to him, explained my situation and he said I was the "ideal person" for his coaching, based on what I told him about what I had going on with my online selling efforts.

This is one message that he sent me on 9/11, when we were talking about the coaching:

"(...) You get a strategy geared towards you. I guarantee profitability."

So, if you went to the post above (https://www.facebook.com/robertvnava/posts/10207688779085967) you can see that, for the second time, he was telling me:

- guaranteed profitability

- personal attention with a strategy that is designed to myself

With all that in mind, on 9/14 I bought into his coaching. On the next day, 9/15, I got this message from him:

"got it. bro in two weeks time things will be blowing up smile emoticon"

So, his words, not mine - in two weeks everything would be great. Of course, I didn't take this literally, but, still, I understand this as "we're gonna get it going fast".

So this is a group coaching - he had 12 or 13 of us inside a facebook group where we would all chat to each other.

My first 1 on 1 call with him was on 9/23. Then, I had one more call on 9/30. Then, on 10/1 we did go over a little bit over one product of mine which had started well, and it was selling. He sent me 3 voice messages, telling me what he thought I should do.

We also had some messaging consultations, where i`d ask him a question and he would give me his input on it.

Many times it would take him a day or more to answer, and many times he forgot about the calls that we had scheduled. I understand problems happen, but so much for the "18 hour facebook messenger response time" he said he'd have on his above referred post, where he was selling the coaching.

On October 23rd, something happened. He made a video and said he would be wrapping up the calls. The whole group went into frenzy, because everyone understood that he was wrapping the coaching up, and no one was happy with that.

On October 24th he said that it wasn't over and "Il keep pumping info your way and I'll work with you until you are making a lot of money"

Ok, so a quick stop here - ever since that message, he actually shared around 7 videos (three the day after people got confused if the coaching was over), if I'm not wrong, because there's no date on the videos themselves. And some of these videos were actually to his new info product, so not exclusive to the coaching group - and, as of today (12/05), his last video was released 4 weeks (!) ago

Let me recap something - I bought into the coaching on 9/14. On 10/23 we thought it was over, with me having had 2 calls with him (2 hours) and no specific plan - we only went over my ads and products, no strategy or plan was laid out.

I asked him

Oh ok so there will still be 1 on 1? Coz im far from having my storr working man, im losing money

For sure. The are only about half of this group doing well.

     You'll get going.

On 10/27 I asked him if we could have a call, as we had talked on the 23rd. And then on 11/5. And on the 11/6 again. He told me that day that he might have 15 minutes, but that day wouldn't work for me, so he said maybe sunday, which was on 11/8. I asked him to let me know if he would be able to make it.

Since I got no response, I had no real 1 on 1, no real strategy nor plan laid out, he really didn't know anything about my store, about my performance... he wasn't coaching me, he just had videos and I really didn't pay him thousands of dollars for a video course. So on 11/9 I sent him this exact message:

Hey man, I was thinking... I think I want to drop the coaching, man.

I feel you guys are doing too much and we are not having enough time to get this coaching going.

I know you're really busy and have a lot going on, which is causing this coaching to be going slower than what I was expecting.

Now, it's not like I'm mad at you or anything, I have a great respect for you and all that you have achieved. But my situation right now is demanding faster results, man, and we've been on this for like 3 months, it's hard for me to wait more.

That's why I'm cordially asking you if you think it is possible to refund the fee and part our ways for now, I'm really in a financial situation where I need someone who is able to give me a 1-on-1 consultation on a daily basis for a period of time.

What do you think?

After some talk, he even offered me partial refunds and letting me stay in the group. He claimed that we were friends, and the he wanted to help me succeed.

Even though I felt like this was not gonna work, since I already was in that for 2 months, I decided to take upon his offer to keep trying a bit more. And I refused his offer of a partial refund and still stay on the group, because if I was gonna stay, this wouldn't be right.

After 9 more days and 2 15 minutes calls and some facebook messages, I realized that, yeah, it wasn't gonna work for me. So I told him that on 11/18.

He answered me on 11/23 saying that he "spent the weekend just hanging out with the kids and didn't messages." But we have many facebook friends in common, and I saw him commenting on several posts on these days.

His next message was on 12/1 "hey man. been sick for days. yesterday was the worst. I can't do a refund because it just doesn't make sense after the amount of hours I've given. But let me know exactly what you need to come out ahead I'll help you." Again, I saw him commenting over and over again on many posts online.

So after many times telling him why he needed to refund me, because he really did not coach me, no plan, no nothing, I decided to claim it on Paypal.

He then proceeded to exclude and block me from facebook, instead of talking and doing the right thing.

I have personally talked to 5 more people in our group and they all feel the same way - that this coaching was NOT what it was sold and it didn't help them - and all of them also never got personal plans, strategy or anything. One person had only 1 call on the first week and then nevermore.

So, yes, I feel ripped off because I paid for something that was never delivered - he went missing for many days on the group, so, even on the general level, he was not being able to produce.

I'd like my money back out of principle - this is just not right.
