I contacted Robert Ward aka Robslp640 from Robslp640.com on February 24, 2012 about building a Lamborghini Reventn replica for me. (As of 03/01/2013 he is going by Rob LP to avoid the negative press that comes up when you google RobLP640 )

I told him that I needed the car to be completed by May 21, 2012 and asked would he be able to build the car in time. He assured me 100% that he would be able to build the car in time as long as I paid the car off in full by March 15, 2012. He claimed that he needed all of the funds right away to expedite the build, and order the necessary parts. I made it very clear to him that the car needed to be completed by May 21, 2012, because I planned to take the car to a huge event that following weekend to showcase it. He assured me, and guaranteed me that he was going to stop everything that he was working on at the time to focus solely on my car. The final price of the build was $81,560 dollars, which I paid to him in full by the date he requested.

To put things into perspective, he initially told me that the car would not come with working windows. I told him that there was no way that I could drive a Replica without working windows. He told me that for $6,000 dollars extra he would hire someone to do the windows in time to make the delivery date. I agreed to pay him $6,000 dollars just for working windows. A huge sum! That's how important it was that the car was ready by the the delivery date. I also paid "over-time" for work that he said needed to be rushed in order for him to make the delivery date. He explained to me that his guys would have to work over time to complete certain areas of the car, and that I would have to pay extra for that too. I agreed to the fees, which is why the car ended up totaling $81,560.

Up until April 16, 2012 Rob was contacting me asking if I wanted to add upgrades to the car. He said that I could also have Working Windshield Wipers, and Working Bat Wings for $5,710.00 extra. I agreed, and sent him the money.

I contacted Rob on May 5, 2012 and asked him about the status of the car, because I hadn't heard anything from him and the delivery date was getting close. He responds back: (I was texting him via google voice so all of our text conversations were recorded and logged)

Me: Whats the status? 11:58 PM
Robert Ward: How many days i got 7:03 AM
Me: The delivery date is May 21, 2012 which is 16 days away 8:03 AM
Robert Ward: Ill give u the bad news then 8:04 AM
Me: What bad news? What is the deal. Are you going to be able to make the deadline or not? Because this is not a game to me after spending over 80 grand. At all 8:07 AM
Robert Ward: I wont make the dead line. Ive already had one entire shop and two guys quit over ur car 8:09 AM
Me: unbelievable. So after I rushed to pay you this money way before the deadlines. Paid you all this extra money for these people to make the deadline you tell 8:13 AM
Me: this nonsense? Infact you didn't even tell me, I had to ask you 8:13 AM
Me: When exactly do you plan on having the car? Because you have basically wasted my time with all this extra nonsense I had to do "to make the deadline" 8:14 AM
Robert Ward: Not sure. Im actually into ur car for about 4000 of my own money. Its not going as planned. The two guys and the shop f**ked me bad 8:17 AM

So basically he tells me that he isn't going to make the promised delivery date, and doesn't even know when my car will be ready! 13 DAYS go by, and I hear absolutely nothing from him. No new delivery date, or reassurance that he is even working on my car! I contacted him today and told him that after 13 days going by without hearing a word, I will be hiring an attorney and filing a lawsuit against him next week. We exchanged numerous heated texts, and he basically told me that I could go f*ck myself.

I told him that I would be posting my story on every kitcar ripoffreport, and he told me that he was an administrator on the forums and would delete the posts.

The exact dialogue is:

Robert Ward: Ok u do what u need to. I have several builder names. Even if u damage that one. This is my hobby. I do this on the side its not a business. 8:11 PM


As you can see, Rob has "Several Builder" names so everyone needs to be aware. I will keep everyone updated as to the status of this case. Luckily I can afford to lose $81,560, but not everyone else can. I am posting this story to hopefully save someone from making the same mistake that I did. I have filed a lawsuit against him in Federal Court for Fraud, and it is currently pending. It has been over a year since I contracted him to build my vehicle and this guy hasn't even reached out to me to deliver the car. I haven't heard from him since May of 2012. As of 3/1/3013 he has still not delivered the Lamborghini Replica that I paid him $81,560 to build.
