PLEASE DO NOT BUY PUPPIES FROM ROBIN SCHULDER!!!! THIS WOMAN NEEDS TO BE SUED!!! I though My case was an isolated one until I read the HORROR STORIES from other dog loving people that got RIPPED OFF and HEARTBROKEN when they received SICK, DEFORMED PUPPIES fronm this crook!!!!

I had 2 beautiful bulldogs when I was looking to adopt a third puppy. My husband ALWAYS wanted an all white English Bulldog. We had actually purchased a white male from a reputable breeder in our state and found out after 2 months and 2 surgeries that he was born with a collapsed treachea and larynx and we had no chiose but to put him down. Not only were we DEVISTATED but the breeder took 100% responsiblity for the problem we had with the puppy and immediately refunded ALL of our money invested knowing that we did all we could & their was nothing nobody could do to save the pup. They IMMEDAITELT STOPPED BREEDING (as any responsible breeder would do after having produced a defective puppy!!!) We were heartbroken over the loss. We then decided after a few months to start looking for another white pup. I found what I thought was the PERFECT little angel on ROBIN'S website. I was very leary on purchasing out of state but my husband just fell in love with this dog.

I corresponded for several days w/ ROBIN. I asked several questions, I informed her I had 2 other English Bulldogs- both AKC registered. I asked to send more photos of the dogs & the environment in which they were bread. She BRAGS on her website of all pups being raised in her home with family, kids & the ultimate attention. I waited a couple days & never received any pics-- I had called her & she said she was just too busy but would send them that night. This should have raised an alert--- but I was by this point pretty trust worthy after the exstesive conversations I had with her. She told me how attached her son was to the pup we picked out & he always played with her & was heartbroken she was leaving. Whne I still did not receive pics that night, I called back & she seemed to get irritated w/me that I was BOTHERING her. I did finally reveive more pics the next day.

I had also inquired regarding the birth date of the litter, shot records, the parents.... It took her 3 days to e-mail me and she said my pup was born on june 23, 2006 and sent shot dates.

We decided against our gut feeling to go ahead and get the pup. Robin said to send a CASHIERE CHECK only. We mailed the check for $2,750.00-- 2,500.00 for the pup & 250.00 for shipping--which she said inckuded the crate which the pup was already used to sleeping in, a blanket, and her favorite toy. She also told me all shot records & registration papers will be shipped with the pup.

I called the airline in which she said she was shiiping the dog the day it was leaving & just out of couriosity, asked how much it cost to ship a pup 1 way. They confirmed $90.00 !!! I was not too happy knowing this was this 1st of yet to know MANY LIES this woman had told me.

She also received the check & would not ship the dog that day. I had asked why & she said she had to wait to see if the check cleared. I reminded her that it WAS a cashiers check, which I am sure is GUARENTEED funds in NEW YORK as well as in OHIO and was drawn on a bank that operates in BOTH states where she could take it to that bank & get cash immediately. She gave me the run-around & waited 7 days to ship the dog!!!!

When I finally got my pup at the airport(she was NOT on the original flight Robin said she shipped her on!!-- she arrived 16 hours AFTER she said they shipped her- from New York to OHIO!!!!) I was devistated!!!! This POOR dog was in this TINY crate---FILTHY--- NO BLANKET or TOY as she said and the so called shot records were scribbled in what looked like a 6 year olds hand writing on the flight info from the airport & taped to the top of the crate!! Furthermore---NO REGISTRATION PAPERS--- as mentioned early I told Robin I had AKC registered dogs & was lead to believe this was what I was getting. I immediately called her when I found the dates of the shots that were scribbled on the paper & the ones she e-mailed did NOT MATCH at all!!! I had aslo asked about the registration papers & she said they were on thier way seperately--she shipped all the papers at once after the full litter was sold. As for the shots--she told me I was making a BIG DEAL out of it-- she also had on the paper that the dog was born on 6-17-06 NOT 6-23-06 as stated in my e-mail. WHAT KIND OF BREADER DOES NOT KNOW WHEN THEIR LITER WAS BORN!!!!????? She laughed at me when I questioned this & said I was CRAZY!!!!!-- I told her that the discrepency with the shot records was unacceptable and I NEVER purchased a pure breed pup that I DID NOT RECEIVE REGISTARTION at the time of purchase!!! She called me INSANE & said her husband was an ATTORNEY & if I kept harrassing her she would report me & file chrges!!!!!!! 2 wekks later I STILL had no PAPERS!!! I called & called & she said I should have received them. After 45 DAYS, I finally get a CERTIFICATE of Registion from an UNHEARD OF ONLINE :PUREBRED PUPPY DATA BASE- I called her immediately & asked what was up--she said she disclosed this was where her pups were registered-- I called her a liar & reminded her how I discussed my current dogs being AKC & this was what I wanted. She cliamed to have never told me that her pups were AKC. We did however buy the pup as a pet & by now have had her for over 45 days & weren't about to give her up. I had told her how unprofessional I thought she was & how I felt she had lied & ripped me off at this point---she went as far to send me an e-mail & call ME evil & once again threaten to get her attorney husband after me!!!!

Now to the problems with the pup!!! After a few months we noticed the temperment of the dog was abnormal. She is a loving dog most of the time but for no reason would just get angry & attack my other dogs & even come after us when trying to tame or discipline her. I went online at this time to review Robin's website & much to my surprise found other unknowing families having much BIGGER problems with the health & attitude of their pups. My pup always walked a little differently than my other bulldogs-- she took stairs very oddly & with more carefulness-- we didn't know what to think of this at the time. Then I had noticed as she was growing, she constantly would favor her right hind leg-- lifting it up a lot-- swinging it out from under her when sitting or laying-- I took her to the vet. to get it checked out & much to my surprise was told she had extreme HIP DISPLACIA!! The vet. said it was so bad that it could be crippling & she was just 1 year old!!! He said this was 100% due to bad breeding!!! She had to have weekly shots for 2 months to try and STOP the deteration and will be on medication for the rest of her life. He said this condition is actually very painful to the dog & this could be why she gets so irratable at times. As much as it hurts us to know our pup has such problems so young, I told my husband we are one of the LUCKY ones(SO FAR!!)-- I read much worse horror stories regarding blind, crippled, deformed, & pups having to be put down due this BAD BREEDING----

I was very sceptical regarding this purchase & when I started to put 2 & 2 together--(hesitant & delay on sending pics--probably because as stated in other complaints, the pups ARE NOT raised in her home as we are told so she has no immediate access to send the photos opon request---the shot records all wrong--most likely because they were just dates made up or the shots probably never administered--- the birth date discrepency--probably do to the fact she retains these pups from "brokers' as suggested in other complaints & has NO IDEA when the pups were born--- the lies over the registration---AKC or any other reputable kennel club would never allow this woman to breed & would probably prosecute her themselves if they were aware of her breeding practices-- delay on the delivery of registartion--she's NOT stupid-- she knows that NO DOG LOVER will give back a pup after having it and loving it for almost 3 months when they finally realize they were ripped off!!! --) It all started to make sick sense---she is a NOTHING but a CON ARTIST!!!!

THIS WOMAN NEEDS TO BE STOPPED---- SHE IS GETTING RICH at the EXPENSE of these POOR ANIMALS--- she has RIPPED OFF TOO MANY UNEXPECTING FAMILIES and IT NEEDS TO STOP!!

When I went on her website and found that she was actually trying to sell a PREGNANT female English Bulldog I was shocked!! This woman is NOTHING but the SICK, EVIL, MONEY HUNGRY person--not us loving pet owners as she has the nerve to suggest!!!!

My PETS ARE MY FAMILY -- I have had litter of bulldog pups since with my AKC pair and was up day & night with my b***h comforting & babying her thru her pregnancy & had 7 healthy, beautiful pups. These dogs need so much extra care & attention during their pregnancy & this woman is trying to sell a poor pregnant b***h!!!!!! That is utterly cruel & heartless!!

We should stand as 1 and do what we all can to prevent her from hurting anyone else and more importantly--ANYMORE POOR PUPS!!!. If there is anybody out there willing to get a class-action case against this woman---I AM ON BOARD!!

Some more info

Please look up the current state laws before proceeding with anything. Not a lawyer, I just do alot of research, LOL.
SOME NEW YORK LEMON LAWS AND DEFINITIONS THAT I FOUND - violations can also be reported to the New York department of agriculture and markets I think.
*Pet dealer: any person, firm, partnership, corporation, or other association which engages in the sale of more than 9 animals per year for profit to the public. Includes breeders who sell animals directly to the consumer. (752)
*Pet dealers must have dogs examined by vet prior to selling the animal. Vaccinations must be provided in accordance with law. Vet care must be provided without undue delay when necessary. (Penalty: license revocation) 753-a,755,401)
*Pet dealers must give purchasers of cats or dogs a written paper that provides specific info, including the animal's health history, health status, and ownership history. (Penalty: license revocation) (753-b, 755)
*Pet dealers must give purchasers of cats and dogs a written paper advocating spay/neuter. (Penalty: license revocation) (755)
*Pet dealers must post a consumers' remedies sign in a visible location. They must give a written paper to buyers of cats and dogs stating the consumer remedies. (754) - wonder if this includes websites - at this point you can also look up general business law number 752
*Pet dealers are prohibited from knowingly selling kittens or puppies younger than 8 weeks old. (Penalty: license revocation, and $50-$1,000 fine) (402,406)
*License required for pet dealers. (403,404) - Is she licensed? There are certainly 9 people a year I think
*Pet dealers must keep specific records for each animal, including the ownership history. Records must be kept for 2 years. (Penalty: license revocation, and $50-$1,000 fine) (402, 406)
*Pet dealer records are subject to inspection. ( 402)
*Consumer Affairs Dept, Agriculture Dept and local agencies have enforcement authority. (406, 405)
That's some of them, there has to be SOMETHING in there I would think. Especially with so many people out there, with so many stories, and the other site allows for emails I think. I found A site of hers I think, and it does not mention AKC, but there may be laws regarding registration and what information MUST be given with an animal. I would think that life for a breeder not following even some of these guidelines could be made to be VERY difficult. People just aren't always aware of what to do :-). Good luck.

There are also some aliases I think on the other site as well. i would STEER CLEAR of this lady for sure. There are way too many complaints for me to think there is nothing wrong here, but I DID want to point out a few things, but they don't necessarily have to do with this breeder or this buyer, just some things to ponder if purchasing a puppy in general. Communicate by email or in writing as often as possible, and make sure all the terms are clear. Don't assume anything.
This buyer did well by asking for more photos of the dogs and enviroment number one. But, while the poster may have mentioned AKC several times, did the seller? Alot of people assume registered is AKC, it is not anymore. Ask for the registry, the terms, and even the sire and dam's registration numbers if you have too. Get it in writing, BEFORE you folow through with the puchase, and even the deposit. Do you get the papers at purchase, or is their a hold, if so, how long? Know the terms before, and have PROOF of them, don't take their word.
Shipping, $250 is a pretty standard fee. Shipping fees do not just include the airline fees. The shipper must get a health certificate (usually a physical exam varifying that the animal appears free of contagious disease, and the rabies vaccination if old enough). I believe that any animal over 3 months is required to have rabies to travel. Crate, and time and gas in general is usually also included in this fee, but not always broken down for you. If shipping is being put off besides something other than an embargo (and all regular shippers are usually familiar with these), or possibly they are worried about size, be weary. Start looking up the state lemon laws (theirs)if there are any, RIGHT NOW. Take that animal to a vet IMMEDIATELY (schedule an appointment for the day your puppy arrives or the day after whenever possible, this is usually a condition of most contracts as well anyways) after arrival. There is a good possibility that they could not get a health certificate due to illness. Or, the puppy may not have arrived at their place yet ........ Or it might not at all.
Breeds and health: Some breeds have health issues that are 'normal' for them, but not for others. This breed is the PERFECT example. There are several issues with a bulldog which would be considered a problem in another breed, that are NORMAL for a bulldog. So the question with a bulldog is not whether it is there, but how severe. Like the fact that most bulldogs have hip dysplasia at birth by their very nature. It is in their build. A good breeder knows this, and will inform you to be very careful of what you feed, and to limit things like jumping and such, ESPECIALLY during the growth period so as not to aggrivate the issue. So, we need to make sure our vets are familiar with all our breeds ins and outs, so they may more effectively advise us and help us care for our pets, and most especially that WE are aware. We need to make sure we can meet our pets needs as well, and that we are being realistic in our expectations before we take on the responsibility of another life who HAS to depend on us for all their basic needs, and can not even tell us what they are in words. This is not the only issue with bulldogs, but it is shamefully little known. If you only expect to pay for basic needs, and vaccinations and wormings, and spay and neuter, you are probably not ready for a puppy. If you can not afford to pay for these things (not just the basics) you are probably not ready for a puppy. Not every medical issue is related to poor husbandry or bad breeding like we would like to try to make it seem alot of the time. They are living things, just like us. And if we were more informed and reasonable about such things, we would be alot happier.
Always read your contract. When you read it, do not look at it with the eye of an ecstatic new parent who expects no problems, look at it with the eye of someone who actually has a problem. Is it good enough for you now? That is most likely to be your answer and recourse IF there is a problem, and yes it happens sometimes, no matter how healthy the parents or the line is. No matter how much testing was done. We can not prevent or predict nature sometimes no matter how hard we try. If there is no contract cause they've never had a problem, don't expect one? RUN the other way. A breeder who can't or won't guarantee there will never be a problem is an HONEST breeder most of the time. I think that'll do for now :-).
To the OP, I am curious about your contract, the exact wording in the emails, and where she is residing now? I am REALLY wanting to cipher some things out here, but with so many reports it can get confusing. *just my opinions*

Hey there is another complaint on this monster puppy/mill breeder over on (((Redacted)))88004/page/137 the girls over there could use some support from others that have been wronged by Robin....but be warned she is phsyco and will try to the worst of her ability to discredit any report that is given by pretending to be loads of other people and as such the girls on there are Leary of new posts.Robin is a total nut job and needs to be shut down these poor animals dont need to suffer at her hands any longer.Fyi I may haven't bought a puppy from her but I am a dog owner and consider any pet as an equal part of the family structure and should never have to needlessly suffer like all of Robins puppy's seem too
