Ford F-150 Vin# 1FTDX18W0VKC55626

I went to

Rock Motors LLC. located at 1601 N. Laurent St Victoria, Tx 77901 361-573-3325 sales@rockmotorsllc.com, http://www.rockmotorsllc.com/default.aspx

to try and purchase a vehicle for myself. I knew of this dealership because a former co- worker/ friend Marty Manrod was part owner. I talked with him on several ocassions and told him I moved out to the country and was looking for a very depandable, reliable vehicle. He told me to wait because he had some good vehicles coming in from an auction so I did. When he got the vehicles in He showed me a Ford F 150 black truck with a around 127000 miles on it and told me he thought this would be a very dependable vehicle. He said that he put it on the computer they had to check out vehicles and it did not show anything majorly wrong with the vehicle at all also stated that they had a service shop in Yoakum, Tx . It had a little scrapes n bruise but overall looked in good condition. So I test drove it and told him I was Interested. On the test drive it seem to drive ok so on Aug 10, 2010 I went to put a down payment of 1200 dollars got insurance coverage on it and was able to drive it off the lot and was scheduled to make further payments and signed the contract the vehicle had no warranty on it. On the day that I brought it home everything seemed fine. My mom had stopped by to visit then offered us to go to her house which is around the corner so my family and I loaded up in the truck and mom followed us in her car. When opening the gate as mom followed us she said whats that noise the truck is making we rolled our windows down and the truck was making an awful squeling noise.

The next day I let a friend of mine who is a mechanic that works at ford look at vehicle and tell me wht he thought. He said that the sway links and ball joints were broken. I notified Marty Manrod to see what they wanted to do about this especially since I only had the vehicle 1 day, after talking back and forth to his partners I was told either he could put me in another vehicle or he could try & talk to them to see if they could get it fixed. After work I went to look at other vehicles he had there on the lot and all the vehicles he said I could get in all were not comparable to what I was in. I was not interested in anything else he showed because nothing looked dependable. We talked more and I told him I only had this truck 2 days now and either they could give me my money back or get the truck fix and he instructed to me to take the vehicle home and he would once again talk with his partners and see what they could do to get this issue resolved in the mean while another payment was due and I gave him another 300 dollars so I would not get behind or be in trouble for non payment so now I have given a total of 1500 dollars. I kept calling to see what they were gonna do and kep getting the run aroung and no answers til finally he spoke to me and said dont worry you know we are friends im looking out for you we will get you taking care of. He called again and instructed me to drop the truck off to them that they were going to fix the vehicle and he would get prices and estimates see who was more affordable and get it fixed. In the mean while im thinking in my head they have a service shop in yoakum they own so why would he not send it there to get it fixed instead he sent it to Mickeys Auto in Victoria, Tx and they fixed it for a total of around 900 something dollars is what I was told.

So he called me on Aug 27, 2010 to pick the vehicle back up that it was working and ready. When I get there he said that I had to sign another contract and that I had to pay for some of the cost of this vehicle getting fixed and that he was tacking it on my note that I owe. We got into a heated discussion because that is not what I had agreed to do and what I was told that I was gonna have to do. I also had to pay him another 250 dollar payment today that was due. He said either I could do this or leave the vehicle there and he could say he repo it for nonpayment of 250 dollars due today and the repo would go on my credit and he would not give any money back. I was in desperate need of a vehicle and did not want a repo on my credit so I signed the contract and gave him another 250 dollars for a total of 1750. Well then the oil light started blinking on and off checked the oil and it had no oil in it I had to put to quarts of oil in the vehicle when I thought he had serviced the vehicle before I got it. Then the next day the truck started misfiring and I was told coils were out and need to be fix. So I call him back and told him that this truck was not what I thought it was I let him know of what all was going wrong with the vehicle and I was told him and his partners decided that I could bring the truck back and get no money back or I could keep it and get it fixed myself those were my only options.

In the mean time while all these problems were going on my wife was on the internet at other vehicle options that we might could do and she came to this website named cars for sale. While scrolling through this site she sees a posting about a black f150 truck clicks on it and it happens to be the same truck that we had just purchased, check the vin numbers and was an exact match. This truck was on sale by another man located in Victoria, Tx problem is that this truck has 218000 miles reported on it and we were originally told he bought it from an auction. So not only did he lie to us about where he got it from they seriously rolled back the odometer milage on the truck. When confronted about this he said no the man must have pushed the wrong button on the comptuer and put wrong milage and that he was for sure the vehicle milage on the truck was right. He also stated we roll back milage a couple of thousand miles but not a hundred thousand, he knows its illegal to do this no matter what. If we would have known the truck had that much mileage we would have never purchased it. We printed out copies for our records and to pictures of the truck and of the odometer for our records.

On Sept 3, 2010 we go to the dealership to discuss the whole situation and to turn the truck in and get our money back. We arrive at the dealership my wife followed me in her car he sees us pull up and Marty Manrod hurries and rushes off the lot in another vehicle with out saying anything to us. I check the door and its locked so we just wait there outside well I finally here someone inside the business my wife an I go in and a man named Donnie is sitting behind the desk on the computer we tell him what we are there for he says you can leave the keys and truck with him that Marty had left to Corpus Christi, Tx to repo a vehicle. So we left Donnie the keys and vehicle and drive to store next door and realize we need a paper or something stating that we had turned vehicle back in as of Sept 3, 2010. So we drive back to the dealership and bingo here is Marty Manrod pulling back up same time as us he was just waiting to get word that we had left so he could come back. When talking to Marty we tell him we need something stating that we turned vehicle in he got upset and said no that he was not giving us anything. We have no other options then but to call the police. My wife calls the police so that we can get a police report so that we would have proof from someone that we no longer had vehicle. We wait for the police to arrive all the while hearing from Marty Manrod that this is not a voluntary surrender it was a repo and he was gonna put it on my credit report and we would not receive any of the 1750 dollars back it was just our lost and all he was gonna do was auction it off and make more money on it.

The police get a statement from both of us and he agrees to give us a print out that we turned it in and were no longer in possession of the vehicle signed and dated it and wrote on it voluntary. We are getiing copy of the police report, have pics we took and proof from internet as well as witnesses. I was in desperate need of a vehicle because we moved out to the country and I dont just have 1750 dollars to throw away so I decided to fight this because usually most people dont and alot of people get ran over and can not do anything about it and the dealerships get away with these types of actions. I thought this was my friend/ ex-coworker and that he (Marty Manrod) was looking out for me and gonna take care of me like he said and I was definitely WRONG!
