ROCK N ROLL INDUSTRIES Magazine is a Scam operation run by thieves & con men. They don't sell more than a few dozen copies & portray themselves as a 'popular' publication, but have virtually NO paid circulation, distribution or sales.
We spoke to them about getting a 'FEATURE STORY' and they said that they would, IF we'd buy a full page ad. RED FLAG #1 in the media business, forcing one to 'purchase' an ad to get 'editorial' is HIGHLY UNETHICAL, tantamount to 'payola' & borderline 'extortion'. We reluctantly overpaid for an ad that got ZERO calls & exposure. A complete WASTE of hard earned money!
Then to add INSULT to INJURY they refused to run the promised full page EDITORIAL that we had paid for. Mike & Jessica constantly gave us a very unprofessional 'Runaround' & even after taking our MONEY & many attempts to have them make good on our deal, seriously wasting our valuable time - this sham of a 'publication' NEVER ran the Page EDITORIAL 'Feature Story' that was the ONLY reason we ran & paid for this WORTHLESS ad.
EPIPHONE, GIBSON & ALL their advertisers are being contacted to let them KNOW about this FRAUDULENT Business & Unethical Owners. The magazine business is next to DEAD, but these SCAM ARTISTS prey on artists & companies that want to 'see' themselves in a physical printed publication, even though their print run, paid copies in stores & ethics are NEXT TO NOTHING!
We are asking for a FULL BOYCOTT to this scam publication & ask all advertisers to PULL any future ads & WARN the music community to BOYCOTT any support of these unethical con men! We DESERVE fair treatment for what we pay our hard earned dollars for!

Your Rebuttal offered NOTHING to refute the fact that Mike & Jessica Smothers & ROLL n ROLL INDUSTRIES broke an agreement. Yor opinion that these are 'nice people' has NOTHING to do with the FACT that the editorial & ad were the DEAL, confirmed by our Rock n Roll Industries AD REP. 'Free advertsing'?! We paid dearly for this ad that generated ZERO response or business because NO ONE reads the magazine or takes it seriously!
Free MY a*s! If it was 'free' REBATE our hard earned money that was paid.
the FACT they renigged on the 'accompanying editorial' that we agreed to is a BREACHED AGREEMENT!
Companies, readers & advertisers DESERVE to know what kind of sheisters they are & that the 'magazine' has VERY FEW readers, & they so blatantly breached an agreement just to take an individual's money, with NO intention on honoring their agreement or standing by their word!
I've been in business for many decades & are a good judge of one's 'character' by one's actions, & the fact they wouldn't even TRY to discuss & honor an agreement says it ALL!
BAD FAITH + BAD BUSINESS = BAD BUSINESS!
Boycott ROCK n ROLL INDUSTRIES & spread the word.
Crooks like this are on a 'sinking ship'! R.I.P.........

I think the person or persons that wrote this are just plain bitter. Did you ever think your story isn't worth the paper is written on? I personally know someone who works for Mike and Jessica and if the are such con artists why were they so good to my family and I. A story needs to be catchy and interesting something that stands out and grabs you r attention!! And if you r story is anything like your complaint (which is bland and tasteless) why would I want to read it.
What did you expect free advertising?? Lol that's a joke. Do you have any clue how much money bands fork out for great ads? Did you invest that kind of money? Um obviously not, even if you did it wouldn't help you. The only reason I continued to read this, is because of who it was about. No I will not boycott nor will any of my friends and family but we will boycott you. Good luck with your bitter selves. Keep me updated so I know where to stay away from. Mine Smothers and Jessica you guys rock!!!
