 I purchased an oven from Billy Griffin of Rockingham Restaurant (Tri State) for my restaurant that I first saw on craigs list. I paid for the oven up front, and later agreed to purchased a char broiler that would be shipped with the oven and paid for upon delivery. I both called and texted Billy Griffen to confirm the delivery time because my old oven was to be removed an hour before the oven from Rockingham was to arrive. (This is for my 20 year old restaurant that is already in operatation) At the appointed time, the people who purchased my old oven arrived and removed it. But Rockingham never showed up with my kitchen equipment. I called and texted Billy Griffen all day, but he never answered my calls or texts.

I had a plumber waiting around for 5 hours at $90 per hour, and two helpers at $20 per hour. Finally, I texted him at 4:30pm to tell him that I was going to call the police if he didn't call me. Only then did he call and said that 'the truck broke down'. He promised to ship the next day. I was forced to operate my restaurant with no oven. The following morning, I texted him and offered to pick up the equipment myself, but he said it would delivered in the AM. Once again, I had a crew wait around all day and nothing arrived. At 4pm, I called the police, and they called him. My oven arrived @ 5:20pm. (I open at 5:30pm) The oven shelves were missing as was the crumb tray.

The charbroiler never arrived. Dispite numerous promises by Billy Griffin over the next week, none of the missing pieces or other promised equipment ever arrived. So I drove to his place in Haverhill. I was waiting at his door when he arrived. He claimed that he forgot his keys so he was unable to open the door of the warehouse to get my charbroiler. He also claimed that my missing shelves were in an employees car in Concord, NH and that they would be shipped later that day. They never arrived. In my 2 decades in the restaurant business I have never encountered such a deceiptful person. A bush league scam artist....What a pathetic way to live ones life.
