Rockland International Total Bait and Switch Troy Michigan

I went to my first interview and was told that Rockland was a third party distributer for a popular communication company. My job would entail going from small buisness to small buisness selling services. I was also told that I could make a considerable amount of money doing this. They told me it would be easy selling thier product because the companies allready had it. We were just upgrading their service.
They also said that these companies were on a list to be updated.

Finally on my third day of being with the sales person I found out through a slip up by him that we were basically doing cold calling but face to face.

I feel some if not all of these people were complete victims of this scam.

We went to one buisness and spent three hours there. The sales rep. sold the services and I did the paperwork for him. On the way home I handed him the paperwork that I had done, UNSIGNED BY THE CUSTOMER!! He replied that the owner gave him permission to sign his name to the doccument. Along with that three hour ordeal there was one other thing that I questioned. What that was , was the fact that when you call AT&T they ask to speak to the person who owns the buisness or whom ever takes care of their bills.This so called sales person asked me to call in the presale but when it came time for the person of the establishment [he was screwing at the time] to speak he handed the phone to the girl he was interviewing that day. Instead of the actual buisness office manager. He asked her to basically lie and say she was the office manager. This was done to help him get the sale.

This I felt was wrong. The rep basically forged the owners name to get the sale. I cant believe that they would result to criminal activity to get a sale.

If thats how you get ahead in this world i'll stick to my low paying job and be able to sleep at night. I feel that people work hard for their money and dont deserve to be screwed out of it. I am thankful that I quit when I did. I dont want to be any part of that type of establishment.

I would like to appoligize to everyone thet was swindled by this company.

When you get a rep at your door selling phone service ask which company he works for if it's Rockland, send them away. If we refuse to buy they wont make money. Hopefully they will just fade away into nonexistence.
