Rocky Mountain Restoration is primarily paid via insurance claims.  They pushed me to file an insurance claim for a small water damage dry-out.  I repeatedly said I would pay cash, as I have a $1,000 deductible.  They began to treat me poorly when it became clear I was not going to be a big insurance score for them.  They acted as if I was an annoyance because I wanted to pay cash and keep the costs down.  

They sent me a no-detail bill for just over the amount of my deductible!  Surprise!  (I should have told them I had a $500 deductible).   They were rude when I asked for billing details.  They finally provided the billing details, which conveniently added up the high amount they wanted to charge.   

3 fans, 1 de-humidifier...for 3 1/2 days = $1,100.  I guess insurance companies blindly pay these obscene amounts.  I'm a cash customer, and I expect reasonable charges and an explanation of the charges without feeling like I’m being inappropriate or insulting for asking for billing details.

From the harsh tone of their email responses to my requests for billing details, I began to expect this could end up getting ugly quick.  They demanded I pay the balance due within "24-48 hours" after receiving the detailed bill.  This is just after 11 days of the service being first started.  Their estimator was on vacation, which caused the delay in my getting the detailed bill.

I paid their price within hours of receiving their detailed bill to avoid the vicious attack that was sure to follow if I did not.
