Ronco set it and forget it forgot about my 30 dollar rebate Chatsworth California

I've watched all the infomercials and around the middle of December, 2007 I decided to purchase a showtime rotisserie from Ronco. I had researched this product on their own web site and was on the cusp...then I came across an flyer from Sears which had a 30 dollar mail in rebate offer on same. This was a super deal, so I drove down to Sears and purchased one...I got the deluxe .
Platinum model. It is now almost one year since purchase, and I've yet to receive my rebate. This in no way involves Sears...all inquires and responsibility belong to Ronco.

I mailed in my proof of purchase, forms, model and serial # etc....and got no response. Occasionally, I'd email company with this info....no one ever returned email query or phoned. It ain't much, 30 bucks, but its the main reason I purchased this product. I live and cook in Louisiana and I can assure anyone either my wife or I can cook chicken any # of ways, but I liked the idea of occasionally broasting, which is the showtimes strong point.

I had the same experience with some rebates on a desktop computer I purchased....after myriad calls and emails I got the rebate as advertised. My research indicates that the non-refund of rebates is ongoing for other companies. I guess their thought process is most people forget or give up. I've read about other rip offs on rebates on the showtime rotisserie, so I know I'm not alone.

The reason I'm posting this is to warn consumers...if you don't get the rebate upon purchase at the register in the form of a credit....Beware!!!

As for me, I'll never purchase a Ronco product again....no matter what a value it is
