Ronnie Lynn Deutch failed to process refund in timely manner North Highlands, California

I approached Ronnie Lynn Deutch for help with my tax bill.    I carefully explained that I wanted them to intercede and handle the entire situation.     They responded with some very calculated legalese which explained that they would do the least amount of work possible and would not to liable for anything more.  

After some haggling, their salesman overcame my objections and finagled me into putting a charge of $940 on my debit card.   I waited a few days for their legal papers to arrive (power of attorney, retainer agreement, etc).    When the papers arrived I read them carefully.     They were charging me $940 to make a few phone calls and report back to me.    NOTHING ELSE.     This is not what I'd engaged them for.    I called them and demanded a refund.    I never signed any papers.

Deutch had carefully explained the extent of their representation and even told me that, in the event a refund was requested, they would charge me $300/hour for services performed.     But in this case, no services were performed.    NONE.    I'd cancelled before signing anything.

When I called to get my refund, they said my refund had to go before a partner's decision, and it would take up to 35 days.

It has been a month and I have yet to receive my refund.    Additionally, while they were recruiting me, they called every day.    Not a peep since I asked for a refund.   Nothing.

I will wait five more days before proceeding against them legally.    Whatever you do, don't engage these people.
