This Company claims to be and is in fact a national restoration company but how they do business is as follows.  They "hire employees" and promise them 30%-50% DOE of all profits made in the insurance restoration business.  In Short, they are "Professional Storm Chasers" who hide behind local subcontractors who do similar work who have worked very hard to accumulate a great rating with the better business bureau and promise them all sorts of money and a great name once they are finished working the storm.  They claim to "Partner" with them and in reality they simply make a "Not in Writing" deal with an unsuspecting subcontractor in whatever area a large storm hits and when its time for them to anti up there dues they continue to give these Contractors they "partnerred with" just enough to keep them out of there hair and definately not the promised amount.  they set up a bank account in these contractors names and set up shops all over the U.S. as if they are that contractor and claiming their history.  They do the work and get the insurance money from it and they try to keep the homeowners as happy as possible so they dont get reported by consumers but its what they do to their "Partners" and their Employees where they simply start their scams.

As an employee you will be expected to provide all the gas at their expense and require them to work ungodly hours around 14 hours a day as long as their is daylight and promise these employees a percentage of the profits. When you actually do finish a job you will be surprised how they calculate the "Costs" as they call it of the job.  You have your standard costs materials and labor etc, BUT the one they simply must have forgotten to tell every single employee that there is a 13.5% job cost that they take off the top number and call that job costs.  IOW if the claim is $10,000 they will deduct (I will use simple numbers for ease Roof materials say $3000 Roof Labor Say another $3000 and dont forget what they "Promise" they are going to pay their Partnered contractors say $250 for that job thats $6250 in real costs and another (13.5%) or $1350 in "Job Costs" now we are at $7600 with a 35% employee that should leave 2400 as profit and your cut should be $840 Right?? Wrong.  First you dont get paid until the job gets collected and by that time because you needed to take some draw advance just for the gas you needed to make them money you probably owe them money because it can takes months for them to finish.  Now all thats scummy but yet probably still legal.

The real scam comes when you leave the "Make a six figure salary in 5mos" job after youve done your part.  Thats when they simply DONT pay you anymore.  They make up a million reasons why.  I had my friend working with me and never took a draw and turned in a  bunch of work and she has not received a dime and its been about 12 months now.  They are also into per-diem skimming which is making us log using their system the local amount allowed say $160 day for a 7 day week of working away from home that equates to $1120.  Unfortunately they will not pay you any more than $500-$650 week in per diem depending on what level of an employee you are. where does the remaining logged supposedly tax free  $470 - $620 go.  I am betting into Grady Martin Haight of Haight Management of Waxahatchie Texas's pocket or his scamming front men Jim Thomas et al..

I have talked to so many of their former employees and everyone is on board for a class action lawsuit to collect that what they promised us and thats just what was promised in writing.  The only problem is none of us know how to pursue this correctly.  The company RRSA or "Roofing Restoration Services of America" is located in Waxahatchie TX but they set up shop all over the United States wherever a storm comes through. Currently they are all over Hurricane Sandy. they have flat out not paid so many of us that we could sure use some help from somebody because this is quite an ellaborate scam at least to us ex-employees overworked like 80-90plus hours a week not compensated for a tremendous amount of fuel but yet required to go and be wherever they tell you only to not get squat when your finished.  I know they make Millions and they let you know how big they are but the arrogance will catch up.  We just need some help now!!

SAME COMPANY IN NC

AUTHOR: Anon - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, January 29, 2018

There is a similar company here in Charlotte NC called Restoration Contractors of America Inc. They are doing the same bad business practices. They also go by Roofing Contractors of America. They are also affiliated with a Public Adjusting firm called United Atlantic Public Adjusters. The owners of this business are out of Phoenix AZ. You can google them under Brent Emerson, Gary Murdie, James Macry all from Phoenix AZ. They are currently under investigation with FTC, NCDOI. Please let me know if this sounds like the same people.
