Room Store Doesn't stand behind crappy, easily-scratched, poorly-sealed furniture Grand Prairie Texas

My husband and I purchased a bedroom set and a cocktail (coffee) table in June 2007. I had a bad feeling ahead of time because I know that Room Store furniture is cheap quality, but we just got married and needed some affordable furniture to fill our first house. Shame on me.

The black paint on the metal easily chipped and the "wood" on the bedroom set and cocktail table easily scratches. Granted, I have cats who jump, but they're not using the furniture as a scratching post. We did have a contract technician come out and repair the first round of scratches and metal. A short time later, (this is all within a few months) more scratches. Surprise!

This time, a contract technician came out and told us that we needed more sealant on our furniture and that the Room Store would call to set that up.

They did and said that the "contract" customer service employee only wrote that the defects weren't caused by the manufacturer - nothing about the sealant. Now, Room Store won't do anything. Debbie claims they stand behind their furniture. Yeah, right.

It's my fault. I should have known better than to buy furniture from a cheap store.
