Rotech Healthcare, Inc. Summit Respiratory Billing Nightmare Nationwide

I was billed 1-1/2 years AFTER services were provided under the guise of careful billing. It was too late to use my FSA account and the services billed seemed random. This was a monthly rental of a standard BPap machine, but they billed me in June 2014 for rentals in Jan, Feb, and August. How does that even make billing sense? When asked, they told me I needed to contact my insurance company. I am fortunate that this machine was for my daughter who is double covered, but this required calls for 8 billing dates to 2 insurance companies. 

This is obviously a way for Rotech to make as much money as possible. Billing and receiving payments from 2 insurance company wasn't enough, and they had to make sure they squeezed out every last cent they could, so they billed me as well. AND they made sure it was too late for me to use my healthcare account.

Healthcare for a chronically ill child is filled with anxiety and heartache. Rotech added to this with their outlandish billing practices and disregard for ailing patients.

My child has to have a machine every night for the rest of her life. You can bet we won't ever use Rotech again.
