Rothman Furniture bait and switch ripoff O'Fallon Illinois

Bought a mattress set for my daughter, it was delivered and old one removed. She slept on it one night, called me and said this doesn't feel like the one in the store, my back hurts, I can't sleep on it. She called the store and was told, " we don't give refunds on bedding". She told him the salesman said if it wasn't right he would make it right. Was told, by the manager "Tough, you got it we don't give refunds" and hung up on her.

I called someone where I usually buy furniture, they sold bedding, and took her out a new set. Imagine my surprise when he calls and tells me they sold her a substandard mattress and not even a box spring, they gave her a foundation, which is a hollowed out pedestal to put a mattress on.

I had never heard of a foundation, my daughter had signed for the mattress set, didn't read the receipt, (who does?) sure enough it stated mattress and foundation. How is the consumer to know that a foundation is a hollow shell, and not only that, according to the furniture man that looked at the set, the foundation we were given is made for children and has a weight limit of 120 pounds. My daughter is 20, stands 5'10" and is 155 pounds. I tried to get a refund off of my VISA, and they said since she signed the invoice form at delivery there is nothing they will do.
