This is my first report on Ripoff Report. I have owned many vehicles and while conducting a search for a VW Golf, I encountered Route 46 on autotrader with a great price on a VW Golf. I inmediatelly set in motion the bank approval for the specific vehicle with the VIN, and with the advertised price on autotrader and contact the dealer via email to be called by a sales person. It took a while to get a call and once I got the call the seller began to explain that the sales price was with "dealers discounts" that you had to qualify for it. I was then told by the sales person that if i did not qualified for the discounts then it was at least 3k more than the asking price. I advised the sales person by the name of Jose Florez that this was kind of like false advertising and that basically the price offered was not a real number. He said that the dealer can do this because the disclaimer states so...
DisclaimerPrice includes all costs to be paid by a consumer except for licensing costs, registration fees, and taxes. Price reflects dealer discounts. Refer to Dealer Website for full disclosure.
WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE FALL INTO THIS KIND OF SALES TACTIC. ONE PRICE IS OFFERED AND WHEN YOU FIND OUT, THE PRICE IS NOT THE REAL SALES PRICE. I CALL THIS FALSE ADVERTISING. JUST BE AWARE.

Dealer's ads are meant to draw you into their store. You must be new to car buying if you think that an advertised price is what you'll actually pay. The price of a vehicle is negotiable and you won't know what the real price is until you have the contract in front of you.
" I CALL THIS FALSE ADVERTISING. "
You can call it whatever you want. You yourself posted the disclaimer that makes it clear that the advertised price is conditional.
Sure, it's frustrating at first. When you eventually realize that NO advertised price is without strings, then you'll just learn to ignore them and those ads won't bother you anymore.
