On July 4, 2017, a salesman from Rove Pest Control came around door to door selling a special offer from Rove.  For $49, half the normal cost, we were told, they would come out and do two treatments on our lawn.  He explained the treatment and the followup treatment and said it would red the lawn of bugs and moles as other pests.  He explained that this was done with natural products so as to not be enviromentally unsafe.  Many of us signed on, believing this to be the deal they were actually receiving.  There was a small electronic pad, larger than a cell phone, smaller than an IPAd with just a signiture box.  I asked what I was signing.  The sales person said I was signing to allow them to treat my lawn and take the $49 out of my credit card account.  That's all? I asked?  "Yes," he said, "That's all."  

Two months into this service, I still had not received a second treatment but I was charged another charge beyond the $49 of $36.  I called Rove.  They said that I signed a contract and they emailed that contract to me.  So here is what Rove does.   They take that electronic signiture from that pad and they superimpose it on a Contract that says I agreed to service for a year and says I agreed to allow them to take the money out monthly.  Everything they told me was the opposite of what I was told at the door and at the door I never received any contract or any literature that told me any different than what the saleman told me.  They even show printed initials in several places of that contract to show that I initialed several parts of this contract - a contract I never saw.  I refused to pay and demanded my money back.  After alot of debate and me harrassing them, I finally got them to relent and return the money they stole from me.  

But then I found out my neighbor had the same problem.  But she is very elderly and they seem to know that because regardless of letters she has written them or phone calls, letters to the Better Business Bureau and to the State Attorney General's Office, Rove has not stopped hounding this elderly lady - in fact, they turned her over to a collection agency.  

Rove has to be stopped.  They have been doing this for years and seem to not care that scores of customers have complained to the Better Business Bureau about the same thing.  Rove answers complaints like mine over and over with the same lies.  But they refused to let me talk to the saleman who lied to me and they refused to admit they superimposed our signitures onto a contract customers never receive.  They are unethical and beyond that, they are fraud.  Putting someone's name on a contract they have never seen is nothing less than fraud and forgery.  They will respond to this with a huge lie saying they don't do this, but there are many more like me who will tell you they do.  It's not just a rogue saleman, they are doing this all over the country according to the Better Business Bureau.
