Re: Misleading and Deceptive Practices Warranty Service
I have a 2001 Lincoln Navigator with just 116,600 miles (114,300 miles approx.at start of contract) meaning I have had the vehicle for 2,200 miles before making claim which was rejected do to fine print and which can be used to dodge most claims over 50,000 miles on your vehicle leaving you with major repairs and a warranty contract that is not worth the paper it is printed on, commonly referred to as misleading and deceptive practices as it was applied to US Fidelis (bankrupt competitor employing similar unscrupulous practices).
I have made several attempts to resolve this issue which resulted in Royal Administration services employing their “Universal Escape clause” stating sludge as their reason for dismissing my claim, even after forwarding 4 years of maintenance receipts demonstrating I had properly maintained the vehicle to according to manufacturers standards. This is just another attempt to dodge accountability for a valid claim as US Fidelis did for years before finally being sued by several US states including Oregon and being driven into bankruptcy because of implementing deceptive misleading practices resulting in issuing worthless warranties for most vehicle warranty agreements.
They know ahead of time when issuing warranty that the vast majority of vehicles over 70,000 miles contain sludge in their engines, and although they can require inspections as many insurance companies do in advance of issuing policies, they have chosen to favor the practice of issuing contracts that they feel they can get out of paying citing the fine print that invalidates most claims, making the entire contract worthless and deceptive (because no normal person would know of either the potential problem or that sludge is present in almost all high mileage engines, which is where Royal makes most of is money.
It is truly unfortunate that Royal and its competitors (some of which do inspect vehicles before coverage) are not all honest about their coverage. It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the industry. I have just learned that a company called US Fidelis (currently in bankruptcy due to class action lawsuits by several states’ attorneys’ offices) used similar gimmicks to dodge accountability and I can only hope that if Royal Administration Services continues its practices, it too will become accountable.
Choose to: Offer Coverage on All Policies, Inspect or Reject prior to coverage, Exclude all High mileage vehicles as some of your competitors do, but don’t offer fictional coverage using deceptive methods and fine print exclusions!!!
Your deception and decline to service has cost me $7,611.00 and loss of use over 5 weeks. Should you not change your practice immediately, you will inevitably join US Fidelis (bankrupt competitor using deceptive and misleading practices using fine print to escape obligations) in the HALL OF SHAME!
