Royal British Lotto, Debbie Jones, Zenith Financial Management Group, British Random Lotto ripoff, scam, fraudulent check from company in TN & letter re: british lotto winning Halifax Nova Scotia

I am another "almost" victim of the Royal British Lotto scam. I received a letter on 10-19-06 regarding a lotto winning I was drawn for. The letter stated I was approved for a lump sum of $115,500.00 USD that comes from a total cash prize of $2,450,500.00 USD shared among 23 international winners. Enclosed was a check for $1,997.80 to enable you finance the international clearance fees of $1,846.50.

I was told to remitt to their designated North American Agent the amount and I would then receive a total of $115,500.00 minus $7,854.00 (6.8%sponsor's commission). I would then receive $107,646.00. The letter asks that you keep this award from public notice until the claim has been processed and money remitted to your account to avoid double claiming or unwarranted taking of advantage of the program by participants and the public. The claim agent's name was Debbie Jones of Zenith Financial Management Group.

I called the phone number given in the letter and a lady with a British accent answered the phone with "Hello". I told her I got the letter and she asked me to call tomorrow during business hours of 10:00-7:00pm. I thought it strange for someone to answer with a "Hello" instead of something more professional. I read the other stories online due to my being suspicious and luckily found the scam and wanted to share my story too. Thank you
