Royal Carribean cruise line won't tell you that the luxury suites on the Sovereign of the Seas are below the Windjammer Room, the main kitchen and dining area on the boat. While staying in the Sagitarris Suite, at night when you are trying to sleep, you will hear clanging metal pots and pans, metal food carts banging into kitchen doors, water running through pipes like hammers slamming the walls, all night long.
When you complain, it cannot be stopped because that is when the food is prepared. All the luxury suites are full, so they cannot move you. They act like they care, but they don't.
They have no fear of legal action because you cannot sue them in the state in which you live. You agree to sue them in Miami, Florida when you book the cruise. So, if you live in Texas, tough! The cost of the cruise does not justify hiring a lawyer in Miami.
When you complain to Customer Service, all they will offer is a voucher good for 10% off your next cruise with them. Great, go on another crappy cruise with Royal Carribean. No thanks, RCI! I'll give Disney Cruise Line my business and money.

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your time on the ship. But I think that both of you (RCCL and yourself) might be equally at fault here. First RCCL for not informing you reguarding where your cabin was located, and you for not doing your homework on finding out what the cabin was near. I just checked out their website and saw the layout of the ship and right there on my screen I can tell that the suites are right under the Windjammer. Including the ROYAL Suite. I'm sorry that your cruise was ruined. There at least 10 websites that have message boards where you can ask questions about a certain ship. I have been on 4 different RCCL ships and haven't had a bad cabin yet where it ruined my vacation.
