We purchased with Royal Holiday in 2009 because we were very impressed with the resort next to the Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas. Primarily, we were interested because of the "free" use of the Atlantis facilities when we stayed at our resort. Their motto during the whole sales process was, "stay here, play there" and we were told repeatedly that it was a free use of Atlantis. Needless to say, we were very disappointed when we returned and were charged an additional nearly $500 to have access to the Atlantis. We made the best of it and still had a good time.

Upon trying to book our family vacation this year, we could not find our home resort listed on their website. We chatted online only to be told that our resort, and ALL other resorts in the Bahamas, had been cancelled from our membership because of "lack of interest". Our home resort where we purchased was cancelled and we were NOT EVEN NOTIFIED, even though we were just sent our maintenance fee bill weeks earlier. Now, the only resorts we have access to in the Carribean region are Mexico, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, none of which we had interest in visiting with our 3 young children and there only only a few in the US, none on the beach. Also, the points required to use the resorts has gone up along with our maintenance fees so we can barely afford to go to any resorts with the points we used to be able to book a week at the Atlantis for.

So... BEWARE! When you buy with Royal Holiday, be prepared to NOT have access to the resort where you purchase. You are buying a scam resort to get your money which may likely be cancelled once they have made enough money selling there! Very disappointed and highly DO NOT recommend Royal Holiday!

Royal Holiday Scam

AUTHOR: DebyCole - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 23, 2015

I bought a timeshare with Royal Holiday and they lied to me at everything, every time I check for travel dates are not available and it's cheaper to booked flight
and hotel with Expedia. The service is really bad, I asked to speak to the manager and was told that I cannot talk to her and that I cannot cancel my membership.
I't´s been a nightmare for me!!! I was doing a research on internet about this fraudulent resort and how to get out of this fraud, i found this information
and i want to share it with you, i hope it helps someone:

Royal Holiday Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: VickyF - ()

POSTED: Thursday, June 05, 2014

Royal Holiday doesn’t have the best reputation within the timeshare resorts. Most of their sales are done under high pressure sales tactics, a high number of  members at Royal Holiday feel like they have being lied and scam and most timeshare contracts are being misrepresented. One of the most common scams at the moment of purchase is that Royal Holiday’s sales person will make you any verbal promise to get you to sign their contract, however the contract clearly states that any verbal promise made by the sales associated are invalid unless those promises are establish within the contract: Royal Holiday Timeshare Complaints
