On December 12, 2008 I emailed RVEGINC through their ad on OLX.com about Disney videos and about the possibility of being delivered in time for Christmas. They were advertised as being shipped form New York. I received a very prompt and pleasant reply from a Donnie Hazel from info@teeveedvds.com saying no problem if ordered by the 14th and to place my order through their rveginc.com website. I placed the order through Google Checkout the same day and received a confirmation that it had been received and $299.98 had been charged to my credit card.
On December 13th I received comfirmation that my order had been shipped. There was no tracking number provided. On December 22nd I emailed them for a delivery status and tracking number and received no response. I checked the site a few days later and found a message stating they had gone out of business as of December 16th and if orders had not been received by December 26th to contact them for a refund and that this was not a scam. On the 26th I emailed them and gave them a day to reply and refund my money before I reported them to all available agencies. Still no response. I reported them to Google Checkout the 27th and received a response that they are no longer doing business with them. I also reported them to my credit card company and am waiting for a chargeback from them.
I did a little checking on my own and discovered the following:
Donnie Hazel has had at least 3 new online video companies registered in the last quarter of 2008, all are gone. The administrator for RVEGINC is Brandon Mitchell Watson and the domain was registered in California but my email to rveg was from Donnie Hazel from teeveedvds. The companies are rveginc.com, teeveedvds.com and royalvideo.us. By cross checking sites and info, despite using different addresses and the 2 names they all come back to:
Donnie Hazel
12A Amherst Ave
Greenville, SC, 29605
phone: (864) 283-6813 This info comes from a google search of Donnie Hazel from Greenville SC.
He also has what appears to be a legitimate company: www.schoolhousebooks.net that has been in business longer.
Royal Video, teeveedvds and schoolhousebooks all share the same address listed above. Teeveedvds and schoolhousebooks have the same phone number: 864-293-3113. Donnie Hazel and Royal Video have the same phone number. The only one that doesn't match up is RVEGINC.com, registered in California by Brandon Watson but still located in Greenville, SC. But my email sent to RVEG was answered by Donnie Hazel from teeveedvds and proves the connection to all these companies. This has been a scam from the beginning. I found similar complaints of failure to respond or deliver against Royal Video and teeveedvds on other sites they used to "sell", including ebay. Donnie Hazel is on myspace, facebook and many other sites so he is publicly accessible!
As search of teeveedvds on http://whois.domaintools.com/teeveedvds.com shows that Donnie Hazel owns possible 14 other domains! A search for rveginc.com shows Brandon Watson has a possible 11. These guys are not done! I have reported them to google checkout and Visa. I will also file an online report with the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/. Another site to file a complaint with your state attorney general is http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/stateattorneygenerallist.php. If anyone else who has been scammed has any other suggestions to shut these guys down please do what it takes to make them responsible for their fraud and prevent them from continuing to defraud more trusting buyers.

You might want to check your records before you try to place the blame on everyone else. After seeing the notice on your website that the business was closing and that anyone who had not received their order by Dec 26 should contact you, I did indeed send an email from my own email address to:
info@rveginc.com on Fri, Dec 26, 2008 at 6:46 PM
subject: Where is my order!!!!?????
I have the email I sent and will be forwarding all this to Google checkout to see how they feel about being made the scapegoats for your shady business practices.
Here is part of the email I sent showing my history through Google checkout.
_______________________________________________________________
"Here is my history with you from Google checkout regarding my order which has still not arrived!
Your order has been shipped!
Royal Video Entertainment Group, Inc.
shipped your order. Have questions?
Contact Royal Video Entertainment Group, Inc..
# Dec 22 Seller contacted - You sent Royal Video Entertainment Group, Inc. an email with the subject: What is the status of my order?
Message: "I placed an order December 12 and received confirmation that it had been shipped December 13. The number is Google Order #XXXXXXXXXXX. Could you please tell me the status of this order or provide me with a tracking number. I need this for Christmas..."
# Dec 13 Full shipment - Royal Video Entertainment Group, Inc. has shipped your order.
# Dec 12 $299.98 charge - Your credit card (VISA xxx-XXXX) was charged for $299.98. "GOOGLE *Royal Video" will appear on your credit card statement.
# Dec 12 Order received - Royal Video Entertainment Group, Inc. received your order.
# Dec 12 Order placed - Your order was placed with Royal Video Entertainment Group, Inc.. A confirmation email was sent to you by Google.
I checked your website and I now have very little hope of actually receiving it but I will give you one more chance to make good on my purchase, either by refunding my money immediately or giving me proof of shipment by providing a valid tracking number that I can authenticate and follow up on. This is the second email I sent regarding my order - no response to my first on December 22. After seeing your message on your site I did some checking and I don't think I'm alone in being skeptical of this being some kind of scam. I have found similar complaints against both revg and teeveedvds on www.ripoffreport.com and ebay. If I do not receive my order in tomorrow's mail at noon or a response to this email explaining your resolution I will be forced to use other means to get my money back. Besides contacting my credit card company to see if they will refund my money and giving them any information I can so that they can get it back from you, I will file a complaint with the Attorney Generals of both New Jersey and South Carolina, the BBB and the FTC."

PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY, ON DEC 13, AFTER CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD FOR $299.98 YOU CLAIMED TO HAVE SHIPPED MY ORDER!!!!!! Why would you ship something from an order you claimed to have canceled with your supplier and so never received? What exactly did you ship in this mystery package to me? I think selling bootleg dvds might be the least of the legal problems you should be worrying about!
This last email to you was not through Google Checkout so you most certainly had my email address and I provided all the order information you needed to track my order and respond to my questions about the status. It is not Google's responsibility to refund my money nor is it my credit card company's. It is your sole responsibility to be accountable for your "bad business judgment" if that's what you want to call it. I still call it fraud to take money and pretend to ship something you never had in the first place. And I wonder how you could have gone so wrong when you previously had operated 2 other companies that sold the same product! Did you do your research for those companies? There were other box sets of dvds for sale on your site, were they not legit either? I would be curious to know if any orders for those were actually delivered. These 2 reports lead me to believe I'm not alone in my experience.

This is "technically" not Google's fault. I do not accept your apology. You had all the info needed to refund my money and chose not to do so. So I definitely do feel scammed. There's no other word for it.

Hello, First I sincerely apologize to this customer for not being able to fill their order and certainly was not trying to scam him or any other customer. The item that this customer ordered was Disney's 150 Years of Magic and they ordered 2 sets. I started this business to sell DVDs as stated. I made a bad business decision to offer the product that I did because the item as I LATER discovered were bootleg imports from China. It is against the law to sale these types of items although when I first started this business I did not do my research very well at that time. I found dvds that listed them at wholesale prices and decided to try these. Then when I did research the item discovered that these were NOT original Disney items. I cancelled my order with the supplier hence these items not being able to be delivered. Google Checkout closed my account because of non shipment. When they do this, you lose access to your account and therefor could not give refunds back. I did not have access to customers emails or personal data as Google closed the account, so technically this is Google's fault that I was NOT able to contact the buyers. I did answer each correspondence from customers and advised them to contact Google for full refunds. I NEVER received an email from the customer who filed this report or else I would have advised them to contact Google as well. The websites were shut down by ME because the items were not legit to sale in the USA not because I was scamming people. Scamming people would have been to continue to sale these bootleg items and potentially cause me legal trouble.
Again, I do apologize to anyone who felt scammed by me or my company, I cannot help that Google blocked access to my account and means to contact my customers.
