TERRIBLE customer service and shady business practices! I recently moved from Las Vegas to be stationed overseas because I am in the military and was shocked that RPMLV Management decided to take almost $500 of my security deposit!  Just to give you an idea of how I left the house, the person who was professionally steam cleaning my carpets said my house was the cleanest and in the best condition he has seen from any renter in all of the years he had been doing his job.  Yet, RPMLV charged me $150 cleaning fee, $100 landscape/yard cleaning fee, $100 carpet-stretching fee, and a $110 delivery fee aside from the $200 move-in/move-out fee that was in the contract.

When attempting to settle these outrageous charges out of court, RPMLV Manager Jordan Hensley said, “If you agree to leave us a positive review online we can refund the carpet stretch and consider it normal wear and tear and split the landscaping cost with you.”  I won’t go as far as calling this extortion, but it certainly begs the question of whether it is ethical to hold someone’s security deposit until they write a positive review online. The perception I have is that the management at RPMLV is trying to capitalize on the fact that I am stationed overseas.  I just hope I can help other military members avoid a similar situation...even if it means taking this to small claims court.  STAY AWAY FROM RPMLV!!!
