Ruan Marinho and I were seeing each other briefly. He told me what amounted to a bunch of lies. It turns out that he was seeing some other girl the whole time. I later find out through a mutual friend that her name was Becky.  I had no idea he was with someone or I would have never gone out with him.

I confronted Ruan about it and he got crazy mad and when I told him that I was going to tell his girlfriend that he was cheating. He started yelling and then grabbed my wrist hard while twisting it and then hit me near my shoulder. I started crying and told him I was going to tell my parents. He said that no one would ever believe me anyway. It’s like he made me feel guilty about wanting to say something. See that is how he gets you, he manipulates you into thinking he is a nice person and people buy into it, I did. Then the whole time it turns out he is a liar and just uses people for what he can get off them.

 I left and didn’t tell anyone because I was embarrassed at first, but then I realize that this is why guys like Ruan Marinho get away with things like this because of silence which allows them to abuse people in a covert way. Hopefully other women can learn to come forward if they are in a similar situation and not be intimidated like I was.
