Last week I contacted this breeder on pupyfind.com and was going to buy Newfoundland puppy from her. She did have wonderful reviews and this is one thing that caught my eye.

I started to email some of the people that wrote them to see if they was still happy with the puppy that they got from Sheila. When I emailed 6 of them and the next day they all came back as address unknown it threw up a red flag to me. So then I googled her name and came across this website. It looks like to me that she has had other bad reviews from March on here.

I am gald that I decided against getting a puppy from this woman after reading what happened to another person. There is a breeder of Newfies Plus do your research for yourself. Dont just take my word for it.

Thrilled Customer

AUTHOR: Amanda K - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 22, 2009

I have recently adopted a Scottish Terrier puppy from Rush Farms and I am thrilled. I researched breeders for months before finding two that were reputable. I chose Sheila and Dennis because they had children that help with the socialization of the pups and I would be bringing the puppy into a home with three kids. I requested the pup with the best/most loving tempermant towards her children. She said she'd choose the one that gravitates most lovingly.

We traveled by car from Montana to Missouri for our puppy. Sheila and Dennis were flexible to our travel schedule and welcomed us to their home. We were able to meet our Scotties mother as well as the other Scotties, St. Bernards and Newfies (the father, Dealer, was on the show circuit). This is a family that loves the breeds they raise and have passed this love on to their children, as evidence in the 4-H animals their children have on premises, which we were also shown.

Not only were we given the promised paperwork (akc, vet reports, written guarantee, lifetime support, akc 4 generation pedigree), Sheila also took the time to give tips and techniques on grooming a Scottie, information on grooming items available, and information for showing our Scottie if I should ever so choose.

I first found Rush Farms on NextDayPets. According to what others are asking for their puppies, Sheila could ask for much more than the $500 we paid. Just another arguement that they don't do this for the money. However, price was not why we chose Rush Farms. It was the obvious love of the breed, how they raised the pups (in their home, not in kennels) and their efforts to produce top quality type and tempermant. Most important for me, beyond the show quality puppy that I recieved, I just wanted a companion dog that fit into my family.

Sheila kept her promise. We asked her to chose the most loving pup and she did. Even our vet commented on how impressed he was with her gentle tempermant. Our little "Macey" is perfect. She is so very gentle and loving with our children, and therefore, our children adore her. She's everything I ever wanted in a Scottie.

We will definately ask Rush Farms to provide us with another Scottie when the time comes.

Thank you, Sheila. We are so appreciative of the care and concern you have for all your dogs. You have given us a beautiful member of the family. We would be more than happy to give a positive recommendation to anyone who requests.

Do not hesitate to buy from Rush Farms

AUTHOR: Angie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 02, 2008

The first report that a buyer contact 6 of the customers who left feedback on puppyfind.com and they bounced back can not be true. I am one of those 6 that left great feedback this year. I also contacted many other customers who left feedback so I could see a photo of their puppy and find out about their experience. Guess what - I rec'd a response from all of them! I still share puppy photos with a few of them to this day. Oh - and you didn't contact me either.

I would have responded if you had and my email address is valid and the same as the address I used in Feb. when I left the feedback. I suspect it's a breeding competitor that is angry about how respected the Rush family is with their business. I drove from St. Paul MN to Ulman Mi. to pick up our puppy and I would do it again if we buy another Newfi. So I was able to see their home (not a trailer!) - meet all their dogs and see their VERY big - clean nice kennels. Do not let this goofy complaint sway your decision to use Rush Farms. They deserve every positive comment they have worked hard to earn.

Chrissy or KD as it used now is not telling the truth

AUTHOR: Lunderwood1963 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Chrissy, I had to laugh you said you dont go to auctions to get puppies and then resell them. Chrissy that is a lie and you know it people from the group that is trying to shut you down has seen you there and also even bid against you so the poor dog wouldnt go to you. You also have stated you are being falsely accused of being a bad breeder. YOU ARE A BAD BREEDER AND PERSON!!!!
Chrissy you sold me a puppy with BROKEN HIPS!!! I took that puppy back to you the very next day. I also got a witness and even a statement from the people the brought the puppy to KC that is how the puppy arrived not that it happened in my care just in case you thought you were gonna try that. And you resold it 2 days later is that what you would call good business ethics? Remember Brain Pitts his dog Remember Alene the puppy with mange. The list of names is so much bigger then just the two I listed. All of the dogs had giardia and god knows what ever else.
I dont know your mother so I wont say anything about her, but from what I have read I would say the apple didnt fall to far from the tree.
You keep changing your name why Chrissy is it because all the wrong you have done keeps following you? So you keep changing it so you can keep selling sick puppies.
You lie you steal and you cheat. You are far from a good breeder and by far from a good ethical business.
You got kicked of Terrific Pets cause of complaints you were kicked off Next day pets for the same reason....You are back on Nextday pets using KD walters name. Its just a matter of time Chrissy before it all catches up to you....but it will.

Chrissy every one knows its you that keeps writing the crap about Rush farms....You only wish you had puppies as good as there puppies are.
I wish to god I would have done a little more work and got a puppy from them, and not the mess I got from you.
The second puppy I got from you cause you refussed to give me my money back is far from AKC standard. The papers I have dont belong to him. He is older then what the papers you gave me say he is. All of his shots had to be redone. He had the worst case of giardia that three vets had ever seen. He had a very very bad cough and it wasnt kennel cough he also had MANGE!!! Now you tell me and everyone else you are such an ethical business....far from it.

Also to add to your little write up

Real Jobs?

We raise ONLY dogs....Not HOGS, Cows, horses. dogs, and who knows what else
Plus we own our own business not that this is any of your business but just to let you know

As far as buying from a puppymill....let me think about this one
I have bought 3 dogs from you . I have been to your trailer and I have seen where you keep your dogs at as well. They are kept in pens so what does that make you

I dont buy from auctions and then resell the puppies are you claim that me and Paula does

It is so clear now who has been leaving all the fake reviews on both of our names.

Thanks for clearing this up

Unlike you I have better things to do then to sit here all day and think of things to make up about others.

We both really fell sorry for you Sheila

"When" we was good friends I truely thought that you was a good person but your true colors shined through.

To the owner of Rush Farms Sheila Rush

I find it so funny that you try and put the blame on me or my family for the problems that you are having.

What reason would I have to write anything about you?
I have had many fake and untrue things wrote about me and so has other of my friends and family that sell puppies so I would not do it to you or anyone else.

I have better things to do with my time....Sorry

I could care less what others say about me or my business

ANYONE can come here and see my dogs and the places that they are kept and I would bet everything that I own that our place where our puppies are kept are better than where most people live.

We are State Licensed which most people are not and are members of many clubs for animals which is what I found out to be so funny about all of this. Plus have never had any violations.

So dont put the blame on me instead maybe you should contact people that you bought dogs from and stop thinking that you are better than others... Because you are not, you are far from it.

Another Fake Review by C. H. of Lebanon, MO. Get over your jealousy!

AUTHOR: Rush Farms - (U.S.A.)

There is No such "Newfie Lover" in Omaho, NE.

It's easy to see once again this person ( C. H. ....Christi Harmon or KD Walters or whatever her new name is ) has issues with Rush Farms and Sheila Rush breeding Quality Newfies.
She also still CAN NOT SPELL.
I will be glad to send you some spelling phonics.

Anyhows.....

I encourage anyone who can to see our Reviews and email those persons for the questions they seek to be answered. The reviews are not staged or fake. There is no reason for that.
I suggest to anyone who is interested in a Quality Newfie to check out the breeder intensively. Ask for health certifications on their dogs, current pictures of the parents,
ask if they belong to parent clubs, see if they are active in the show ring
and if they are winning. Most important, go to their home and see the dogs in person.

Unlike C. H., Krissy, or KD Walters I do not buy my breeding stock at puppy mill auctions and mass produce hundreds of puppies yearly, nor do I buy puppies at auctions and resale them via the internet. We here at Rush Farms have real JOBS, not forcing our dogs to breed our income.

Our journey with this wonderful breed, The Newfoundland started
in 1993. We love and care very deeply for this breed. I am always learning about this breed, always concentrating on producing puppies that can live long, healthy lives and have the beautiful attributes this breed is well known for.

I am a happy owner of a Healthy Newfoundland puppy from Sheila and Dennis Rush. I also did my homework and checked out the reviews on puppyfind and had NO problem getting responses from others. I have one there myself and if someone emailed I would have to say it was a great experience my puppy is great and YES I will go back and get another from them in the future!

In fact the only negative thing I have ever hear about them was posted on this site by a woman who claims her puppy had mange ( my puppy had a beatiful coat) and hip problems at only 5 months. In my opinion someone has set out to tarnish ones image!
