Ryan Mordhorst, owner of Blue Ribbon Exteriors Lie, cheat, & steal Broomfield CO

My letter to the CO AG

To whom it may concern:

Bullet points regarding: Ryan Mordhorst of Blue Ribbon Exteriors and Contracting, LLC

Mr. Mordhorst persuades people to join his company, promises good money, and then does not pay out commission as promised. Due to the nature of the business taking 2-3 months or longer to close out a job, you, as the sales person don’t know that he’s going to keep your money until you are in deep, like him owing $25,000 plus in commission per person.

When you call him out on it, he cuts you off of email, all communication goes silent, & tells your homeowners that you quit and left town.

From what I understand, I am the 8th person that Mr. Mordhorst has taken advantage of, and stolen from in 2018 alone. Mr. Mordhorst loves to litigate everything and challenges everyone to do so, as he likes the ‘game’. Three other past sales people have gone to litigation, completed the process, and Mr Mordhorst was found at fault.

Mr Mordhorst has a record of not following thru on his commitments. He was a franchisee with a cleaning company and is currently in litigation due to his knowingly breaching of their contract.

Please look into this so no more people are hurt by this guy. I am a veteran Project Manager in the roofing industry and since joining Blue Ribbon in August of 2018, I have only been paid approximately $2600. I am probably owed 30,000, but can’t prove it due to his controlling of the numbers with the insurance companies.

Speaking of insurance companies, Mr. Mordhorst requests that all of his subs increase their bids by 20%, then requisitions an additional 20% for overhead and profit on the insurance scopes, for a net profit of 40% for doing nothing but submitting the paperwork. I believe this is considered insurance fraud.

This is a brief example of how this guy operates. This is a real problem, with real people being harmed by this guy. Please take him out or eventually, he will cross the wrong person and they will take him out. He’s that kind of guy.

Below my name are the names of past management that has also been taken advantage of & ripped off. They both can affirm that what I speak is true, they can get you in contact with the other people before me that were victimized by Mr. Mordhorst, and all know way more than I do.

We were considering pursuing Mr. Mordhorst in court as the previous 3 guys who won did, but we no longer have the resources to pursue the matter in Civil court. The attorney we spoke with wanted each of us (6) to come up with $5000-7000 each to start. Mr Mordhorst knows we are unable to pursue him, this is why he does what he does. Quite the scam, but different.

Please help us prevent any future victims.
