I ordered a DVD from Ryder marketing for $4.95. There was no indication anywhere on any of the documents that I was subscribing for a $108.95 a month membership agreement.

There were no emails stating such nor was their any information on how to cancel said membership.

I get a charge on my checking account which has now made me overdrawn.

I am disputing the charges immediately with my Bank and will soon be contacting an attorney.

I've tried calling them several times without any answer. They DO NOT return your calls. They should be investigated by the FBI immediately.

I am filing a claims report with the BBB and the FBI.

STAY AWAY From CHARLES RYDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryder Marketin Lives up to their End.

I just wanted to say,

All my previous comments are now null and void.

A few days after posting the Rip Off Report, Ryder Marketing did indeed get in touch with me.

Within a few weeks I had my money refunded, I was no longer charged the monthly fee and they stopped sending me DVD's.

Ryder Marketing has lived up to their word on every part. I was scared and jumped the gun when I first posted my original complaint. I didn't hear from them right away, I read some other reports and I got worried and posted my own report.

If you use their online Ticket Reporter that is the quickest way to get a response. They have also since changed their website so that it is much more clear what you are signing up for.

I should have read the fine print.

I no longer feel Ryder Marketing is fraudulent in any way. I Have asked for my original complaint to be removed from this site, but as you know Ripoff Report refuses to do so.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Davis

Final Results

OK, while my temper might have gotten the best of me in my original post I'm going to clear up exactly what has happened in this one.

Here is what Ryder Marketing Did:

Sent me an email claiming to offer a FREE Income Cloner DVD for the cost of $7.95 shipping.

Mislead me (This is an opinion. Based on the information that is on the website this could be interpreted different ways) into agreeing to join their membership.

Charged me $104.95 a month after I ordered the FREE DVD.

Responded to my contact using this website (((Redacted))) the good thing is you don't have to log in to file a ticket.

Called me excessive amounts of times to further try to entice me deeper into their program. By Excessive I mean Six Times in the span of three hours. I answered the phone twice and asked to be removed from the list by two different people. So far they have not called again.

CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.
BTW... I would like to apologize to the guy who called the second time. I was rather angry, it wasn't your fault.

This is what Ryder Marketing didn't do:

Did not explain to me what I was agreeing to.

Did not send me a follow up email after ordering the FREE DVD explaining what I had agreed to and how to cancel if I chose.

Did not have listed anywhere on the purchase page that I was agreeing to the charges of $7.95 now PLUS agreeing to the $104.95 a month hereafter. The only thing listed on the checkout page was the $7.95

Did not remove my name from their phone list even after they knew I had requested the refund and cancellation of my "membership".

This is what I did:

Bought a FREE DVD for $7.95
Got Charged $104.95
Canceled my Check Card
Disputed the charges with my bank.
Contacted Ryder. Requested a Refund.
Posted a Ripoff Report.
Reported Ryder to the BBB & Attorney Generals Office.

Legally whether this is truly a scam or a ripoff is not up for me to decide I suppose that is a matter of opinion.

They did refund my money but I still say they should be more clear about what you are signing up for and I thought it was a law that said the checkout screen must say that you are agreeing to further charges. That is why I thought I was safe in ordering the DVD. However, now I know better.

Whether their information is worth the money or not is a matter of opinion. I only wanted to be fair and explain exactly what happened without anger clouding my words.

Now they won't stop Harrasing me by phone.

OK.. So they supposedly canceled my membership. They did manage to refund my money so that is taken care of, but now they KEEP CALLING ME.

They obviously have no clue about any of their customers or what has happened. I've had eight calls this morning and I've had to tell all eight of them NOT TO CALL ME. I explain how they ripped me off and I have no interest in talking to them.

I have removed myself from their email marketing but no matter how many times I tell their reps to remove me from their phone list they keep calling me.

Like I explained to the last guy even if I had been agreeable wouldn't it be a waste to time to call the same person ten times in a row?

I expect I will get more calls because they refuse to remove me from their phone list. I'm going to have to report them to the Do not Call authorities or something.

Don't do business with these people it is not worth it.

Ryder Contacted Me

AUTHOR: Jeremy davis - (U.S.A.)

Ok. So I finally get a response from these guys. Luckily they have agreed to cancel my membership and refund my money. However that does not change the fact that their marketing practices are still not legit. They still did not admit to any wrong doing on their part.

The fact is their website and order agreement in no way states that you are actually signing up for a monthly membership agreement.

While they did refund the money they should change their marketing ASAP.
