Rip Off

Saber Acceptance and Regal Auto Sales are a rip off. I am currently being garnished on a car I never should have purchased. While signing the contract, I asked to see a copy of the Recon Report for the car I was purchasing. The transmission was included in the report as being checked and in "good" condition, but was excluded from the warranty. Within a week of driving the car I noticed a small puddle of "oil" under the car. Upon inspection I found the transmission was leaking gear oil and where it was leaking, someone had used blue RTV silicone to seal the leak long enough to get the car off the lot. I called regal about the car and was told I can not return the car since it was outside their return window so the car was my problem.
My wife has purchased two cars from them as well. on the first car, the cooling system, (radiator, thermostat, resevoir, etc), was excluded from the warranty. After two thermostats, 2 resevoirs, and a radiator we are still having issues with overheating. On the second car, the suspension was excluded from the warranty. The reason for this exclusion? The cradle bushing was bad. The car was taken to a Regal shop and the bushing was "replaced", yet the problem persisted. After talking to a few mechanics regarding the cradle bushing on this make and model we chose to trade the car in for something brand new because the cradle bushing would have eventually resulted in loss of control over the car and possibly loss of life.
This company has no idea what they are selling, but they advertise that they sell "quality" used cars and their salesmen will tell you nothing is wrong with them. They need to be investigated for quality as well as integrity. in my opinion, they are nothing more than scam artists trying to make a living off of people with poor credit who can't get help anywhere else without financially burying themselves.

I would agree with Art, BUT..........

I just want to say that I would agree with Art Flywheel, other than the fact that this customer is not the only person that this has happened to.
I started buying an suv from Regal Cars in Springfield, Mo and everything was great for the first year....payments were taken directly out of my checking account weekly. Just barely over half way (about a year) through the contract, Saber Acceptance "accidentally" doubled up on my payment, then told me that I had missed a payment the following week. From that point on, I had nothing but trouble with Saber Acceptance....up to and including multiple illegal repos that caused me to lose a ton of my stuff that was in the car.
When it would get repoed, Saber would tell me that they couldn't disclose the name or information of the repo company and that they had nothing to do with getting my stuff back. In addition to not disclosing repo company information, on at least one occasion, they couldn't even tell me where my suv was! I agree that the customer service is horrible and getting through to someone that may be able to help is near impossible.
To make a long story short, when I filed with the BBB and our state attorney general, is when I got results.....no sooner. Also, I scanned over reviews and complaints of Saber (and yes, I added to a complaint board or two) and then started getting emails from other customers or ex-customers of Saber Acceptance telling me that they had the same issues of lost payments and to notify them if I was able to get a class action or other legal suit against Saber Acceptance. SO.....I'm sorry to say, Mr. Flywheel, that I can not in good faith agree with you on this matter.

Let me start by saying that we have NEVER been hacked. Per your contract, it states that you will make timely payments. This was signed by you. We don't hide anything and we actually read everything out loud to you.
I'm sorry that we couldn't work an agreement out. We hate to lose any customer, but we are a business and we can't let people just walk all over us.
I'm pretty sure that any place you sign a loan with will tell you the same thing.
