to all dog lovers...STAY AWAY from Sadie's K9 Stay and Play Daycare. Sadie is sadistic! The owner stole my credit card!

I brought my four year old border collie/black lab, Molly, in for an assessment to Sadie's. Molly has been attending daycares in Edmonton and St. Albert for over three years. The only reason I decided to try Sadie's was because it was close to my new job. After spending only 10 minutes with my dog, they said she was too nervous and refused to let her join. However, they insisted on charging me a $15.00 assessment fee. I thought this was ridiculous since they didn't provide me with a service and turned my dog away for no reason. After arguing with the owner for a bit, I decided it wasn't worth it and gave her my credit card to pay. After I did so, she actually refused to return it to me. Her exact words were, "Well, that was a mistake. Now I have your credit card and I'm not going to give it back." I demanded that she return my card, but she still refused. As far as I could tell, she was doing this for no other reason than to be a bully and to "punish" me for arguing with her about the unfair assessment fee. I left the facility and called the police. They contacted the business and explained they must return my card to me immediately. I returned to pick up my card, at which point the owner stated, "I already told the police I returned it. But I don't intend to. Not until you say please." She finally returned the card, but I had to cancel it anyway since she had unlawfully had it in her possession for about an hour.

I was so surprised that I couldn't press charges against this business. In my opinion, this was flat out theft and harrassment. I hope that other dog owners in Edmonton see this post and stay away from this business. I'm just so thankful that they did refuse my dog. If they treat people this way, I can only imagine what they do to the animals.
