my name is Matt **** and one day i was looking through a smithsonian magazine when i saw a add for "real ancient antiquities".  I love ancient history and most especially Egypt, and i thought well this is in the smithsonian i am sure they make sure the people they sell add space to are not crooks. I went on the web sight and found an artifact that i liked and then i bought it.

I owned it for about a year,  then i got some more pieces from them seeing as i was getting more and more into ancient Egypt. now it was not long after that that i got to really looking at the hieroglyphs on my first piece and i saw some thing funny, i saw some hieroglyphs that i had never seen before.  This worried me very much and i began to doubt my pieces authenticity so i did some research and found all this...... first if you would look at the ushabti here.

http://www.sadighgallery.com/Ushabtis_p_22034.html notice that is you look around his sight he seems to have many many ushabtis just like this one, and even after i got this one it did not say sold or disappear or any thing like that it just stayed so his pieces are not "one of a kind antiquities" as he advertises  ( this should have been my first tip) second if you would look closely here... http://www.mummiesexhibition.co.uk/egyptian-amulets-ushabti.html you will find that the same ushabti (admittedly less beaten up) is being sold but not as an real antiquity.

this really disappointed me and i was going to call him up for a talk but i thought i better get an experts thoughts on the matter first, so i sent pictures of every piece i had to a collector in the UK to see if he could tell if they were real or fake. He is very qualified to tell me such a thing, if you go to his web sight you will see this is quite true... http://www.collector-antiquities.com/9/ after seeing the pictures he said to me "Hi again Matthew, Oh dear. These are tourist souvenirs which Sadigh  buys for about $5 each. The "amulet" as well: not ancient."

as you could imagine i was quite mad so i called to send all my pieces back, when i told him why i was calling he got very mad at me and started to get very unpleasant, after a bit of talking i finally worked out what to do and sent every thing back getting all my money back.

this was still not good enough for me i decided to go down to NY to see what his shop was like in the real world.  the first thing i saw as i walked in was a man cursing on the phone to his tax lawyer, when he got done with this he welcomed us to his gallery and introduced us to a large man who said he would show us through the gallery when i walked into the room where he was stashing all of his "ancient art",  i saw an open door full of carving tools, cans of paint, bags of sand and all sorts of odd things!! i kid you not he left the door to his work shop open!

As i started to look in the huge man jumped in front of me and shut the door.  i turned from the door to look at the other parts of the apartment building room he calls his gallery to see objects laying scattered around the room and covered in dust. it was at this point that i had no doubt that this was all a scam and i left the building. If this man has cheated any one else then call him up and demand your money back!
