I'm not impressed.  These guys towed my truck from an apartment complex. My fault? You bet. The complex was out of visitor parking, so I parked in an empty spot away from the housing.  The next morning, my truck was gone.

On the phone, they seemed friendly and helpful. They showed up late at the impound yard.

We were discussing the charges, and there was a $50 charge for dolleys. My truck was parked straight, nose first into the spot. Wheels were locked straight (I even showed him), so dolleys not required. He says "I didn't do the tow, so I can't do anything about that." He wasn't sure what a couple of the other charges were for either, but he sure as hell wasn't willing to waive them either.

I reluctantly paid, knowing that he was too stubborn, and not interested in working with the customer (cash required). Then, he's like "uh, i don't have any change, but we could mail it to you or something" SERIOUSLY?? He was quite helpful informing me that I could walk to the convenience store to get change.

I asked him again to work with me to make the charges fair (especially the ones he couldn't explain). He refused.

I told him he has a chance to make right on this situation, and I would be satisfied. I explained the whole "a happy customer recommends you to a couple of friends, but an unhappy customer tells ALL of their friends". He said "well, you never would have called us anyway".

So, here we are...telling everyone about it, just like I promised. These guys have nothing better to do than cruise parking lots and pad their wallets with the working man's dollar. I'm sure the extra amount that I paid went straight into his pocket.  He even informed me that they have an employee whose job is to cruise that exact apartment complex and call in any car without a permit sticker.  It's always nice to see a company that prides themselves in customer service and an honest day's pay.

Parking in Assigned Spaces

AUTHOR: I PAY FOR THAT SPOT - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, November 20, 2011

Living in an apartment complex and paying monthly for one assigned parking space, its not a good feeling to come home after working graveyard from 6pm to 6am or later and finding someone "parked in my spot" because they couldnt find free parking.  The burden to remove the vehicle is shifted to me to call the tow company or to park 3 or 4 buildings away and be forced to walk home in the rain with my work gear and "just put up with it".  I"m not putting up with it. You admitted your fault, then you also should realize you'll have consequences with the tow company and their charges.  Just dont park in our assigned spots next time.  Sorry, no sympathy here, its you or me and its no longer gonna be me. I"m calling every time and waiting for them to arrive to take back what is legally mine.
