On 5/4/2011 I received four battery operated handheld fans for a total of $62.85. These
products arrived defective. Company representative only identified as "James." I requested an RMA number
as per company policy to return this defective merchandise but was denied. My credit card company, Bank of America, spoke with a company rep who said that it would cost me $20 per item to return the the merchandise, which was more than
each item costs. This is obviously a sham operation. Authentic-looking web site that lures customers to unknowingly purchase cheap, shoddy merchandise and then makes it prohibitive to obtain refunds. The markup on this merchandise must be enormous with a huge profit margin for Safety Central.

This is such a sham operation. As noted previously I bought four poorly made, defective hand-held fans (without batteries) for @ $60.00. Today at CVS I purchased four hand-held fans with batteries that work perfectly for $1.99 each! Also, since my first report here I've seen many other web reviews that slam this company and warn folks against buying any of their products.
