Sagamore Insurance Complete scam indianapolis, Indiana

I was signed up for Sagamore Insurance through a company that helps find the best deals. I was hesitant at first as I had never heard of the company before, but my insurance lady assured me they were a good company. When I purchased my new 2011 Camery I called and changed the vehicle in January 2011. When the company sent me new insurance cards in July I realized they never changed the vehicle. I still had my 2005 Mazda on the card. I was upset that my brand new car was not covered for over 6 months. I called and had them correct the issue. I then decided they were charging me way too much for the insurance at $100 a month. I then changed to Gieco and cancelled the term with Sagamore. The company sent me a refund of $62.05 on 8/22/11 and the same day I received a bill for $36.00. I called and left a voicemail for the company to understand why I was being billed. No return call. I received 4 more invoices and left 4 more voicemails. The company never returned my call. I then received a bill from a collection agency for $36.00 regarding the Sagamore insurance bill.

When I called the company back, I actually got a live person (shocker). She was rude and told me that it was because I changed my policy in July. I asked why I they sent me a refund if I owed them money. She replied, the refund was for your new policy and the amount owed is for your old policy. Confused still as the policy number never changed I explained that i did not feel I owed this to them and of course that did not matter.

To avoid my credit being dinged, I had to pay the $36.00. This company is nothing but a scam. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing! And because of their inability to do their jobs correctly, I could have had a mess if I would have had an accident during the period in which my new car was not covered, though I reported to them that I sold the car and bought a new one!
