SAI - Security Service International - Guardian Security Inc. Deceptive promotion by Guardian and No service, Rude personnel and Harassment by SAI Arlington Heights Illinois

On July 19, 2006 I was approached by Guardian Security, Authorized SAI (Security Associates International) representative and asked would I be interested in changing my home security from my existing supplier to SAI. I immediately called a friend and ask him what he thought. He talked to the Guardian representative, Jeff Preece, and told him what I wanted in a security system.
Mr. Preese agreed and gave us the following signed and dated statement.

"Guardian Security agrees to the following. If Mrs. (name deleted) will transfer to SAI and will call for service 60 days from the date of the letter, we will replace her system with two way voice and add fire at no charge for any of the equipment. We further agree to add a glass break sensor". Guardian or SAI did not furnish any equipment at the time the contract was changed over nor did they do any work what so ever to our system. They simply cancelled the service with the existing supplier and supposedly took over the monitoring. I did not get a copy of the contract nor was I able to get SAI to furnish one.

I called back in 60 days but was unable to get Mr. Preese to return my call. I, in turn, called SAI and explained the problem. They told me they were not responsible because he was a contractor. I called on several occasions between September and January 2007 and all I got was the run around from some very rude people at SAI. I stayed on the phone for 30 minutes several times only to have SAI personnel hang up on me.

In January 2007, I wrote SAI the following letter. "Be advised, effective on this date, 26 January 2007, I will no longer use the service of SAI. Do not draft my bank account as of this date, 26 January 2007. Be advised, If February has been drafted, please refund that amount as soon as possible. This action became necessary due to the lack of service and response from your company or your representatives".

I had to close the account to stop SAI from drafting. Several individuals on our street have had similar problems with SAI and have since stopped using their service. All of them, including myself, have been threatened by SAI with turning us over to a collection agency.

On December 28, 2007, SAI turned us over to the collection agency Anderson Crensh. Since that time, we have been harassed regularly and it continues as I write this letter. The other individuals on this street have been harassed by Anderson Crensh also. My advice is to stay away from SAI if you want a quality monitoring service.
