Saks Off Fifth Avenue Mebane, NC outlet mall Tanger Outlet Mall Racial profiling and harassment, ethnic intimidation, unnecessary surveillance Mebane North Carolina

This is a warning to all African Americans.

I recently visited the Saks Off Fifth Avenue outlet store in Mebane, North Carolina and was harassed by a store security employee. When I bought this egregious incident to the attention of management, I was lied to.  As an African American woman, I have every right to shop in that store in total and complete peace. However, this was not the case a few weeks ago and I intend to report the incident to the National Action Network. The NAN is a civil rights advocacy organization founded by the Rev. Al Sharpton and fights discrimination and race-related injustices across the country.

NAN is also renowned for its involvement in the Barneys New York and Macy’s racial profiling incidents a few years ago. Once the NAN is aware of the issue and a pattern of racial prejudice is discovered at Saks Off Fifth Avenue in North Carolina, the entire country will know how this retail chain treats black customers. As such, what happened to Barneys New York will happen in Mebane.
