I have also been the 'victim' of Urban Trust Bank just shutting down their Salute Visa card program without prior notice or any justification.

I have always paid my bill on time and they extended my credit to $800
Today I receive a letter saying: "We must regrefully inform you that we are dicontinuing your Salute Visa gold Program. Consequently, we have closed your account to new transactions and may refuse to authorize any new transactions effective immediately.

Please note that even though your account will be closed to new tranactions you will remain obligated to pay us at least the minimum required payment on your existing balances and any new balances in a timely manner. If you have a balance you will continue to receive monthy visa Gold billing statments and to be assessed an account maintenance fee as set forth in your card holder agreement. The account maintenance fee can be avoided by paying in full your outstanding account balance.

Pleas tell your utilities companies, Internet providers and other retailers or mechants to stop any automatic charges to your account immediately. You will remain liable for any such charges that may be posted to your account.

Now I immedialy tried to call the number was on hold for 20 minutes. During the hold time I looked up my account at www.mysalutecard.com

Now I made a payment (15 days early) that posted 2 days ago. When I made the payment it showed I had Credit Limit $800 - Available credit $200...

When I went on today it shows I have Credit Limit $0 - Available credit $0...

This really stinks because they just hit me with a $150 annual fee a couple of months ago which brought me over the limit which I had to pay that fee! Then they increased me to $800 (Give a Little - Take alot)

I have a $600 balance so technicly they shour give back that annual fee! And what is this $0 credit Limit... Does that mean now I am over the limit? Am I going to get slammed over the limit fees until I pay off the $600...

This is extortion! OMG I will go postal! I have paid my bill on time to build up my credit and now they want to chop me down!

Somebody do something about this please!
