Salute Visa - Urban Bank & Trust Salute Visa - Urban Bank & Trust Newest Fraud Tactic From Salute Visa Internet

I had my Salute Visa card cancelled recently like most viewers on this board. I was contacted last week by Salute Visa (or their representatives), and was told that they had an offer to help pay off the remaining balance of my card. They offered to match whatever payment that I made of $50.00 or more, DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR. In other words, if I paid $50.00 on my account, Salute would match that payment as well.

Based upon their representation I paid 50% of the remaining balance. I expected that my $138.00 payment would be matched by their $138.00 payment and I could get out from under their egregious fees and charges once and for all. After my $138.00 payment was posted to my account, no indication appeared that Salute had made a matching deposit to the account as well. When I contacted Salute by both email and phone, they denied ever making any such offer. I was contacted by phone with this offer and received it online from their own website as well. I downloaded and printed the online offer before making the payment.

When I told them that I had printed verification of their offer right off of my online Salute card statement, they still refused to honor the agreement. This company needs to be shut down and its officers criminally prosecuted. Where is the FTC and Department of Justice?
